| It's time for our annual art competition
to begin!
You all remember the one we had last year?
Hopefully this year will be just as fun as last year's
for all of us, and let's hope this time the board doesn't throw a wobbly
in the middle of the voting
We have some slight changes this year as you will see.
The categories will be open for submission from the 1st of June until the
30th of June, with the voting - depending on how many submissions we receive,
going for one week thereafter.
McCaffrey Art: Anything with an Anne theme, whether
it's a picture, painting, CGI work or a sculpture. Don't forget Anne writes
outside of Pern!
Photo Art: Something you have taken a photo of
- could be your pet, a landscape, the moon - you choose!
Traditional Art: This is where you might have
a painting or sculpture or drawing or CGI image that isn't Anne based that
you would like to submit.
Miscellaneous Art: This category is open to anything
else you think might come under this category, as last year, a doll you made,
or perhaps a cake, a floral arrangement, a garden layout, a craft or
cross-stitch, something you knitted maybe - yes Bobbsy, even a sound recording!
(I'm sorry, poetry or stories will not be accepted, but only because it's
impossible to compare)
Now because of the volume of pictures we received last
year we've decided that if you want to submit a picture, instead of posting
it in the thread on the site, using up space not only on KT but also in your
attachment folders, we have created a photobucket account purely for the
art competition!
We would like, if possible, for all pictures to go in
there - if you want to submit a picture you can PM Ian, Kat or me for the
password which will give you access so you can upload it yourself, or if
you're unsure how to upload your picture, you can either email it to Ian
or me, jnkinz@gmail.com and we'll add it to the album for you. There is a
seperate album for each category.
When you want to upload your picture, it will be easier
for us to set up the art competition pages if everyone names their pictures
by their username first, with the name of the artwork after it - for example
I would call my first piece of artwork "Jax_mypicture.jpg", or "Jax_1.jpg"
when I upload it.
If you're still unsure how to proceed just ask!
Once you've uploaded your picture to the appropriate
photobucket album, post the link in the thread making sure to tell us which
category you're submitting it for, and the name of the piece of art!
We would like you to submit no more than 3 entries per
category so as not to overwhelm the voters!
Please feel free to ask any questions at any time and
we'll do our best to answer them for you! Now, go and have some fun! You
have 4 weeks! |
