Thieves World?

I just thought I would see if anyone has read the Thieves World Anthologies edited by Robert Asprin. I found them to be one of my favorite works. Simply because of the plots and stories and the fact that they have thieves in them. I love books about Thieves. I have every one! *giggles* Anyone else a fan of Sancuary? A Sancuarite(sp)?

I have a few of those books - read them back in the mid/late 80's. :) I didn't realize they were still putting those out. :tilt:

They put out new copies in '02. They have awesome cover art. Much better than the originals.

I LOVE THIEVES WORLD!!!!!

I have 13 of the books in my collection...including some of the spin offs by the individual authors.

It's a toss-up tho as to my fav char...Shadowspawn, Tempus, Niko, Ischade, Roxanne, Illyra, Prince Kadakithus...I love 'em all!

Robert Aspirin is one of my fav authors in general too and a great man in person. I met him at D*C once...and got drunk with him...and HE was buying the drinks. :evil:

I also have the rp game system and love rp'ing there. Sanctuary is a wonderful world to game in.

:darkside: I like Tempus and Shadowspawn and Prince Kitty-cat....I love that nick name..and I like most of the hellhounds and I think I like them all!!!!!! I like Ischade as well. Shadowspawn is probably my fav, although I used Tempus as my username on the Thieves World rp that closed last August.

The one I have is for table-top rp'ing, not online. There was talk once of making a video game, but I don't know if it ever really happened.

I will have to look and see. I think they made a game, but I don't know if you can buy it now or not. It was supposed to be called,'The Shadows of Sancuary' after one of the stories I believe. They had talked about the main character being Shadowspawn.

The original anthologies were co-edited by Robert Asprin & Lynn Abbey. On the 2 newest Thieves World offerings, one is a novel written by Lyn Abbey which sits up the new timeline, the second is an anthology.

I remember waiting impatiently for each new book to be published.
