I can't picture Kris as anyone other than Milla Jovovich (only not so scrawny). David Boreanez as Zainal, Hugh Jackman as Jay Greene, And Tommy Lee Jones as the leader guy, I forget his name :roll:

I can't picture Milla Jovovich as Kris, Milla's far too delicate. Someone like Scarlett Johansson or Katee Sackhoff comes to mind. They're also closer to the correct age, Kris was in college (presumably 18-22) when she was first taken, meaning she was probably less than 25 when she was transported to Botany. There's a few years' leeway, because characters under 25 are mostly played by actors a few years older, and because we don't know exactly how long Kris spent on Barevi. Scarlett was born in 1984 and Katee in 1980.

Yeah, I know Milla wouldn't be a practical actress for Kris, but her face looks exactly as would imagine. If only she weren't so stick-thin :roll: But she has that intense, determined look, and she's pretty without being overly so.

So far, I haven't found anyone who matches my mental image of Kris or Zainal. I keep looking though.

Blonde, stereotypical Swede. Oh, she's 5'10" in her bare feet. Obviously you can fake height, but better would be to find an actress who's tall enough to start with so you don't eat up your FX budget too early. Kris has very long legs.

A young Daryl Hannah would be great (think Ayla in Clan of the Cave Bear), she's exactly the right height, although she may have been too beautiful. Katee Sackhoff isn't pretty in a classical sense, but she's definitely not too delicate in build, even if she's not quite tall enough to be Kris.

Oooh, I REALLY like her as Kris! Excellent! :applause: but does it really matter how tall they are, unless it's way too much in either extreme? As nice as it would be, you can't always match the book description to every single mark.

I agree on David Boreanaz OR Christopher Judge. Zainal's skin is grey so the actor could start as any color, and as Teal'c, Christopher certainly has the strong, silent type down pat.

To be realistic, you almost have to draw actors from the TV pool, rather than big names like Tommy Lee Jones or Hugh Jackman.

How tall is Amanda Tapping? Or Katee Sackhoff. You need blond (which could be dyed), tall and maybe not big-boned, but Kris isn't some slim stick-person. She's a strong person.

Christopher Judge... could work. I've pictured Zainal as having more angular facial features, which Boreanaz has more than Judge's more curved features. But facial makeup and prosthetics can do wonders :D And Judge has a much thicker body as well. You're absolutely right about the strong silent type! :laugh:

I don't quite agree on Amanda tapping though. I love her, but she's too old for Kris, wasn't she supposed to be in her early twenties? Amanda is nearly twice that age, her facial features are much too matured.

I was looking up a picture of Christopher Judge on IMDB and noticed this guy, Don Davis (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0204493/), next to him. Now he fit's my image of Chuck Mitford. :D

Not sure about Christopher Judge as Zainal though. He's got the right body frame, but I agree that his face is too round. David Boreanez just isn't bulky enough muscle wise. Now if you could combine the two together.... ;)

They'd have to put at least SOME prosthetics on the actor anyway, no matter what the build, to make it look more "alien". So they could add some bulk into it too ;) Look at what they did with Hellboy!
