Perhaps it was just me, but I didn't see many possible F'nor actors suggested. Because of this, I cannot do a poll, but I would love to see who you would picture as F'lar's half-brother.
As I stated before, I think David Wenham http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0920992/ seems a good possibility.

Matthew Mconnaghy (sp?) might be a good choice.
Or me of course. :D ;)

David Wenham is a great choice, but a good 20 years too old, for Dragonflight at least. My first choices would be either James Franco (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0290556/) or C'milo ;)

Really? I've forgotten, how old was F'nor in DragonFlight?

I think he was 4 years younger than F'lar? And F'lar was around 30 at the beginning I think, maybe a tad younger. So F'nor must have been somewhere around 25.

F'lar was about 29-30 on the Search. F'nor-I think its mentioned in DQ-is the younger by 3 Turns, which would make him about...26 in the beginning of DF?

I like what someone on the other thread suggested for F'nor--Simon Gerard (http://www.geocities.com/zoegrrl2001/Gerard.jpg).

Maybe it is the picture, but Simon Gerard seems to have an arrogance about him that doesn't seem to match with F'nor's character

Maybe Gerard Butler?

Okay....Anne's website recommends Colin Farrell, my favorite actor ever! http://annemccaffrey.net/fun/polls.html
It also recommends Goran Visnjic and Tom Welling....

No way, Colin should be Sean Connell ;)

I don't like Colin Farrell as F'nor... again too much of a "bad boy" look.
Hey Bronzie, could you link pics of both Goran and Welling? I don't know who Welling is

DROOOLLLLL Goran Visnjic...
OK, let me clean up the floor now... I think he would be a great F'nor... I always liked F'nor more than F'lar, he was .... approachable. He had a great sense of the ridiculous. Now Jaxom, that's a man...sigh...

My friend-who has read some of my Pern books when sleeping over-said to me when I told her the other day at school about the Pern movie says that apparently
:quote: no matter what F'nor and F'lar must be as sexy as the books state *scratches head, wondering where friend managed to get that* or she will go on a murderous rampage with her electric toothbrush:faint: :unquote:
As you can see she is quite-wait did I say quite? I meant madly in love with the two.:shriek: and has been since I showed her an image of F'lar on the Robin Wood website...

Oh Lord I won't be able to sit there long enough without thinking of some Will and Grace/Dharma and Greg episode and howling with laughter. It'd really suck if the movie was in the middle of a real serious/romantic/sad part and I cracked up.*cracks up at thought*
Oh by the way Bronzie I love your avatar.

F'nor How about Daniel Casey from Midsomer Murder. Actually John Nettles from the same show would be great as Lytol or Groge.

JR Bourne (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0100068/), or now that SG-1 is going bye-bye  Ben Browder (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0112871/). With makeup either one can look late-20s and be perfect for the next few books.

 hell yes! (recently saw him in Tristan and Isolde and promptly fell in love with him :D) (who wouldn't with that body ---> James as Tristan (http://www.imdb.com/gallery/ss/0375154/19.jpg?path=gallery&path_key=0375154&seq=8) and his soft accent.

James Franco might make a good F'lar, but I couldn't see him as F'nor. He just seems too...F'lar-ish. Like he would have the patience to sit back and watch whatsisface run the Weyr into the ground until Ramoth rose, and then have a very bad sexual experience with Lessa for the first time. That Wellings guy seems more open in his photo, like he would be approachable. I always thought F'nor was an approachable dude.
Matthew Mconnaghey in any movie would draw me like a moth to the light...
 *flies to light of MM*

But I don't see Mathew McConnaghey as a F'nor looks-wise, as well as presentation-wise. He seems too boyish and lady's man for F'nor.

MM... boyish? Dude, that guy is as manly, physique-wise, as they come. Not that I see him as F'nor though.

Boyish not in looks, but in attitude. Like the never-ending child. Boyish charm.
I see F'nor more as the laid back surfer dude

I have seen it, and yes I know he is manly, but what I mean by boyish is in charm and attitude. I don't know how else to describe him. I certainly am sorry if I hit a nerve with you Bronzie ;) Just kidding.

I don't know about Ben. I don't think that southern accent would go well for a role as F'nor. He would certainly be good for another role, which I don't know.
I think Joe Flanigan would be perfect, but he's busy with SGA, unless the movies were made in the period between SGA seasons. Bourne would work, though, in Flanigan's place.

Possibly true, but I didn't really see anyone else suggested who even vaguely approached "half-finished". Did Anne ever elaborate on that description?
