I just got both The Carradyne Touch and The Mark of Merlin in a bulk set of Anne books off of ebay. Just wondering if anyone has read either of these and what they thought.

I have "The Carradyne Touch" published as "The Lady" (and actually found it at a Borders.) It was all right, I guess, but not really my genre.

I liked both. The Carradyne Touch (or The Lady here in the U.S.) because it had horses. I liked Merlin because of the dog. But it's been a long while since I read either.

I bought "The Lady" when I was lucky enough to attend a book signing with Anne, and have her signature in it!

I have both, but the 'Mark of Merlin' was one of three stories in a book called 'Three Women'. The other two stories were 'Ring of Fear' (about a young girl with two show horses, doing the circuit while looking for her father's murderer) and 'The Kilternan Legacy' (about a divorced mom of twins inheriting property in Ireland from an Aunt she never met). I like all the stories - but I think The Kilternan Legacy is my favorite. I want an Aunt I never met to leave ME some land in Ireland, too!

When I bought those three books, way back when, they were separate. My mom and I just loved them, along with the Pern books.
