I'm so much of a nut I have the film on DVD and video, in two languages! I also have every episode on dvd, various collectors mags and box set dvd's and I've just got my first DVD of the first three episodes of Stargate Atlantis!
Which, although not the same and missing the delicious Daniel, has a lot going for it with some good storylines and the rather lush John Sheppard!!!

Have to say I really like the current Replicator construct. You know, the one that looks like Sam. Pure evil in a nice package! I also, and maybe shouldn't say it, think Baal is not as bad as he makes out and has potential to be good!

Was that the episode where the girl he 'liked' was goa'ulded at the end?
Well, you know, I was trying to keep the spoilers out of it... ;) I actually have no idea which season that episode was from.

I think i qualify as a stargate nut based on the fact i may well travel from York next week on tuesday back to northampton .... just to be able to watch the next (very long) episode!!!! if i can i'll watch a repeat but if there isnt one on except when i'm back at work then its a 8 hour round trip for me just for my stargate fix :fiend:

*raises hand* Me! Me! :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:
I LOVE Star Gate but unfortunately the PTB at the national broadcasters thought that SF had "too little appeal" and was consequently scrapped from TV altogether!  No Star Gate and no STAR TREK!!
I have only some of the first 2 seasons on video - taped it when it was on...but according to the SG website, they jummbled episodes from 3 seasons together so it was completely mixed up! :banghead:
One of my favourite episodes is "Urgo". It's hilarious! Others include "The Tok'Ra" and "The Nox".
I LOVE the Nox! :bouncy: :bouncy: :bouncy:

<snip> I LOVE the Nox!
As I said earlier, I think they look like hobbits with moss for hair  I was shocked at the level of technology they had though.

I just saw the episodes 'The Lost City' part 1and 2 earlier today. Those are MUST SEE episodes, right near the top of my list :D It also introduces Elizibeth Weir, leading into the Stargate: Atlantis series. But that vice-president Kinsey sure grates on my nerves.... he gets so blatantly stubborn and reckless. One of those characters you love to hate :darkside:

I hope you're being careful about what you're giving away Bronze, I can be a major grumpybum when I want to be ;) Are the 2 episodes you mentioned near the end of the SG series? Oh yes, and please don't say anything more about Kinsey if he does something nasty/weird/idiotic near the end - /please/

What is Star Gate Atlantis? Like I said, basically all SF was banned from TV so I have no idea what it's about...

You aren't the only one. In fact, I think (though I may be wrong) that the US is in the minority here, as the only ones who actually know anything about it. Unfortunately, this seems to make it fair game to talk about online.

Hmmm I remember a thread about this on the OKT but I can't remember much, something about the Star Gate being set in the future, and that's about as much as I can remember - if anyone is going to tell us about this, please don't go into any detail or OFF WITH YOUR HEAD!!

I noticed! :D
Dratted broadcaster! And double drat the DVDs not being availible nationally either! Just because the broadcaster SAYS the people don't like SF doesn't mean they DON'T! SF films do great here! Very :irked:
A SG set in the future would certainly be interesting!

Not fair H :( you could have started it in a new thread, now I can't look at the rest of this one, if I don't want stuff to be spoiled

but look ! i did do the spoiler bit with a hard to read colour of text !!!
AND
i gave plenty of notice !!!!! :D
besides does that mean a new thread for every episode? because thats what we should do for those who have missed episodes here and there ... or have only seen later series !

Yes you did say spoilers but every time I load this page I'll have to be careful of what other people may say in reply to your post - it /is/ unfair, you don't have to start a new thread for each episode but for the new ones might be nice, and Atlntis really needs a thread of it's own as it's a different series

Hmm do i sense frustration emanating from the locale of Perth ? ;)
Maybe we should split the stargate discussions to just 2 threads! one where absolutley no spoliers are allowed on pain of eternal spam! and another where posts containing spoilers may be posted and disected ?
Is it possible to move individual posts into new threads? How is the Best Way to Go About it Jax you are after all ..... a ....... *whispers* Host :fiend:

I'm definately a Sam and Jack shipper :D I know that they really should not be carrying a relationship while saving the galaxy, y'know not fraternizing (sp?) with co-workers. But I can't help wanting them to be together. Loved the part in 'Window of Opportunity' where Jack resigned just so her could kiss her :heartbeat I think that their attraction is even more hinted toward in the 7th/8th season.
I know a great forum its called www.sg1-archive.com, try it!!!!!! :)

Yes, I'm watching what I say, the Elizebeth Weyr... I mean *Weir* part wasn't much of a giveaway and I thought it was just generally accepted that Kinsey was nasty/weird/idiotic. But I won't go into specifics, I hate giving away juicy details ;)

I know next to nothing about this series, I've never seen it. It's called Stargate Infinity, and its an animated show set in the future that involved the stargate, but it made no mention of SG-1.

a To'kra comes to visit the SGC and they start up to the briefing room
Jack: "Suicide missions, the end of the world, why doesn't anyone stop by just to say /hi/ anymore"
And H, what is Star Gate Infinity?? never heard of that....

To keep a certain KIWI host from having to hurt people, I moved -H-'s spoiler post into it's own little thread. So now everybody who wants to can got there and post without fear of a Rampaging Kiwi.
Are you happy now Jax?  You better be, it took me the better part of an hour to figure out how to move things.
