Dragonriders from Firefly

This may be rather random, but I was watching Firefly last night, and I was thinking about Rabble's NaNoWriMo, and it sort of combined into wondering, using all the main actors and actresses from Firefly, who would play which Pernese character in a movie? Just use the actors from Firefly, and determine which Pern character you can see each of them playing.

I already see Summer Glau (River) as playing Lessa. Jewel Strait (Kaylee) looks like a Menolly to me...
But I have to think of who could play of the other actors. In case people don't know the names of the actors, or are just too lazy to look them up they are:

I have never done any drugs, nor do I even drink alcohol despite being over the legal age.
Back to the point of the thread, Ryuu at least try to assign characters to the actors

I rather thought Morena Baccarin (Inara) could pull off Kylara rather well - sensuous and plotting -- don't you?

Ron Glass for Robinton is the first thing I thought of, as well... and Summer Glau for Lessa, but she was one of the casting candidates anyhow, wasn't she?

How about Alan Tudyk for F'nor? He was always the more easy-going of the two...


Jewel Strait has to be Menolly, but must not have that southern accent :)

Gina Torres - she could work for Thella. She could also work for Avril Bitra, I think... but then again, Morena could do Avril too!

I think River [Summer Glau] for Aramina is a good match, their charcters are alot alike, it's as if they can't be freed from their own minds!

Not quite so sure about Kaylee [Jewel Staite] for Menolly tho, Kaylee is too young and almost immature compared.

What about Simon [Sean Maher] for F'nor? Although he'd have to be slightly nicer/happier, hehe!

I quite like the idea of Morena Baccarin for Lessa. She's got the delicate sort of features, she looks like she could pull off the slightly tomboyish, tough look and she has the dark hair and the big, expressive, sensual looking dark eyes.

How tall is she?

Morena Baccarin is 1.71 - Summer Glau is 1.69.

...Jewel Staite is 25 years old. Menolly's about 15. I don't think that qualifies Staite/Kaylee as "too young." Either way, she's not enough of a rail. Menolly's a beanpole, and occasionally confused as a boy. Staite (or, if you must, Kaylee, though why on Earth we're talking about fictional characters playing other fictional characters is beyond me) is too curvy, not to mention eight or nine years out of adolescence (MAYBE Space Cases Staite could have pulled it off). She could MAYBE play grown-up-and-married-Menolly, but, eh.

My very first roleplaying character, Catalina (and my subsequent online ID, which lasted me many years) was named for Staite's character. (I don't know why; I liked the show and watched all the episodes, but wasn't especially into it per se.)
