Whats the closest to a real Pepper drink?

i don't like coffee, i'm a tea drinker myself ... but come the day of the revolution, what will all ofus coffee and tea drinkers switch too when coffee/tea is no longer available?

Pepper drinks are the norm in the planet pirate series ... but just what is the closest drink in RL too a pepper drink?

I can't think of a thing that would do for you what the pepper drinks do for the Planet Pirates series people! Not a thing! Powerade? nothing the same!! Guarana drinks? only give a burst of energy etc...

Redbull sounds about right, but thats an alcoholic drink, isn't it? I didn't think that peppers were.

It's not alcoholic. It's being used as a mixer though, so you get hyper drunks now.:tilt:

hmm Red Bull gives you wings!! has been around for ages over here, and it's just like all those other pick me up drinks (V is my fave but I think because it's NZ made LOL oh yeah, it tastes the best too, :D ) I hear Irn bru is good but haven't tried it and I think that these drinks don't do the same thing a pepper restorative would...

There are drinks like Nutriment and I-can't-think-of-the-name-at-the-moment drinks that are for convalescing peeps that might come close.

There might be drinks that have a lot of nutrients in them, but I doubt they have the pick-me-up that startled Lunzie the first time she drank one.

I think the pepper drinks were described as crisp, I'd imagine them leaving a fresh taste in your mouth, not unlike that of brushing your teeth, but not minty :laugh: whereas I find those energy drinks mentioned more kind of tangy(some of em make my lips pucker - especially after brushing teeth :crazy:), and gluggy (phlegm causing?) and too sugary!

There is that pepper vodka. And for a while I was on this special "cleansing" diet and you started every morning with a "liver flush" drink: One grapefruit, one orange, one lemon, 1 T olive oil and 1 T cayenne pepper, all blended up. Actually, it tasted pretty good.

hm............

it doesn't have caffine..............so that rules out anything i've been thinking.

I was thinking of a Dr. Pepper or Mr. Pibb super charged somehow. Add a few no does to it. But thas caffine.
