Yep. Made me realize that I had been missing such things in the chat too.

Times may be the problem! XD We have people from all different time zones. Maybe there'd have to be a couple of chats for different groups of time zones? Like one for PST-EST, then one for Europe? People could come to either regardless, if they could make them despite time zone difference.

For me, suitable times for chatting are about 4pm-10pm GMT, probably until 11/12 PM at Friday and Saturday.

If we give ourselves enough lead time, we should be able to work things out. My online time is scattered over much of the day, evening and late night hours. I usually keep a 2nd shift schedule.. but I'm very flexible timewise.

Once we can agree on a specific time.. or range of time.. it would just be a point of remembering to be there. For which I will definitely make a note.. i make lots of notes/lists.. lol.

I'd like to host a chatroom hatching, but I need to be here a month first, per the rules. I know I participated in at least three or four hatchings on the old KTL--I'd love to see those here.

With my current work hours it'd probably be impossible for me to do anything except maybe on Sundays when I'm off. I really miss the live hatchings and it always been fun just being able to chat and rp with everyone in real time.

I wouldn't mind participating or hosting, but as per the rules, we'd need permission beforehand. Don't you need permission a week in advance? I suppose I should re-read the rules.

Sharon.. Attario.. as the assigned Hosts of C&RP, can either of you clarify this for us?

Do we have to have special/advance permission to use the Hatching room in chat?

Back when chat was extremely busy, I could see a need to schedule something. But these days, chat is rarely busy.. even when things are announced well in advance.

Or is this a hold over from when we had assigned chat Hosts?

According to the Host list, no one in particular is currently assigned as a chat Host. Tho I believe that Ian and Dux were the assigned Hosts at some point in the not so recent past.

In terms of Hatchings, Fridays and Saturdays are probably best, as I'll be able to stay up later.

Say, what about that we set up a few regular times every week for chats?

Not everyone will be able to be there every time certainly, but at least we'll have times when we're more likely to be there.

After conferring amonst the Hosts, it has been decided that you no longer need ask a Host for permission to hold KT live hatchings as long as you post your intention to have a live hatching, and as long as it doesn't clash with someone else!

So! Looks like a regular scheduled hatching could become a great new Chat spot!!

And of course the chatting and RP talk would be more than allowed!
