I have added a verse to the Eastern Sea Hold Song - the first verse is mine.

I am trying to decide what order is best to put the verses in. What do you think?

1
My heart broke long ago
A love for which I grieve
But now the sea's my only love
The only one I need

2
O wide sea, O sweet sea,
Forever be my lover
Fare me on your gentle wave
Your wide bed over.

3
The fickle wind's my foe
With tide his keen ally
They're jealous of my sea's love
And rouse her with their lie

4
O sweet sea, O dear sea
Heed not their stormy wile
But bear me safely to my Hold
And from their watery trial.

I like the current order.

I think the first verse is a good start, because it nicely tells how the song is about the sea. You can't really have number 4 after that, since otherwise you'd have the 'their' in " Heed not their stormy wile" sort of coming from nowhere.

You're right! I guess I was thinking, if I switch the verses then I would switch the first lines of the two choruses.
