It occurred to me that i never started this thread here in the KT :eek:

Now this thread has already featured on;
the original, Meeting Of Minds BB, which can be found here in Archive form. (http://forum.srellim.org/viewtopic.php?t=106) :)
and was Revived on the newer Meeting Of Minds BB, Here! (http://forums.srellim.org/showthread.php?t=83)

Aware as i am of the larger number of people who frequent these BB waters i shall start it here too ... in the hopes of fresh blood ... :erm: i mean new idea's... yeah new idea's :D

So in the best tradition of the, "They Like Carrots so they must be allright ...." thread. I will start of in the same manner with the same statement and question :D

it occured to me today that i like carrots, so do the mrdini if i recall correctly, therefore, urgo, Q.E.D. The mrdini are an all right bunch.

on the other hand whats with all the uncut gems and pearls ????? hmm ...

Could you imagine the shine of a diamond with the brightness of the sun on their homeworld?? ouch...

I like the idea of the pearls and uncut gems. Maybe they see something we don't?

are you inferring that their visible Vision spectrum is not a match to our own ???

Maybe they see more into the Infrared or Ultraviolet ends ... if not Both?

There is a natural beauty to uncut gems, just look at some of the natural crystals. We cut them to bring out, what is in our veiw,a more beautiful side of them. I think the mrdini look at the wonder of nature and don't feel the need to control nature. Although they do appriacate fine workmanship and skill in crafting things!

if thats true ... then might this "wonder of nature" .. stem from the almost complete lack there-of within their urban areas on their home planetes of Clar et al !!!

as i recall ... (was it lara) commenting on the almost complete lack of plant life within the city as she arrived?
