Does anyone remember any mention of the use of yellow crystal in the books. I've read the trilogy but I don't know if it was mentioned in any of the Continuum stories?

I think there was some mention of yellow crystal, but I don't remember if it said what it was used for. I haven't read the Continuum ones.

I don't remember yellow crystal being mentioned.
Blue, green, pink, black, white... but I can't place yellow.

"Yellowish" crystal is mentioned in the first book, when Killa is look at the Guild display in the waiting area on the moonbase:
The next display provided magnification to show crystal line threads of various hues and diameters. Surely, one didn't "cut" those. Perhaps the yellowish crystal fractured into such strands.
Yellow is also mentioned when Killa is practicing re-cutting soured crystal:
She recut the contents of nine boxes, twelve sets of crystal, blue, yellow, and rose.

Thanks for the reminder Cheryl. I had clean forgotten about yellow. Guess I paid more attention to what Killa cut herself.

I would have said there was no mention of yellow either, but I knew the lack of memory of all of us was not conclusive so I did some research. I started with Pam's Crystal Singer Continuum site (http://www.ballybran.org) (which doesn't currently display the info), then asked Pam who pointed me to an work-in-progress page which noted the mentions of yellow. And then went digging for the full quotes to share.

You know, I'd have also said no to yellow... Just goes to show how much we need folks who're willing to do the more formal reseacrh for us!
Cheers to Cheryl & IPam!!

What he said.
I had a sneaky suspicion that Pam would know the answer all along...

I'm going to be getting the 2nd of the 4 Continuum books, and will look in there. Even though it has been answered. I'm still looking for the other three. Just won #2 on ebay...
But that's interesting. I didn't remember anything about yellow crystal either.... >.<

Before even beginning work on Ranges, I read through all 3 of the books and noted down all the information that might be useful for the club, so that's how I came across it. It's a pretty short mention so it's not surprising the mention gets missed.
If there's nothing written for yellow, then I guess club members can just make it up as we go along ;)

I thought I remembered it in a short bit where they were just mentioning different types.

I meant, if they haven't written about its properties and what it's used for rather than whether it exists.

That would be interesting. I wonder if Anne's ever said (or even been asked) about it.

I know that book covers often don't reflect what's in the book, but I have a question about the UK cover for the Continuum #1 (http://www.ballybran.org/images/contuk1.JPG): A felitaur?

Felitaur... what's "feli" from?feline--the lower part looks more lionine than any other animal that I'm familiar with (which it's most certainly ISN'T a horse ;))

Oh!
There's a story in Continuum which involves a leocentaur - torso of a woman, body of a lioness! I only just remembered this!

There are illustrations of a felitaur in The Coelura, too. In the checkered maze-thingy.

Yep, I remember the on in The Coelura. I have Continuum #2 but I haven't read it yet. I want to get the other three. I guess I just have to wait for the right time on eBay, which is where I got #2 from. Don't the stories in them follow the book numbers, or can you read them as stand alones?
