Long ago, in the earliest of KTL history, when Hosties had such problems, they were given an alternate name to sign on with, for such problems. These things happen. It wouldn't hurt to create some alternative(s) to use during the inevitable glitch that will come up ...

We don't need alternatives here any more - at the moment we can sign in under any nick we like. The NKTL authentication isn't tied to the NKTBB.
