If you discovered you had a Talent - Telepathy, Teleportation, the ability to heal someone or Clairvoyancy, what would you do?

Use it! A lot!

But probably not publically.

Use it for evil :darkside:

I agree with Dux. I wouldn't want anyone to know I had the power! As for which one I would want, it doesn't matter- they're all cool!

Same here i would also agree with dux, as long as it's used appropriatly i dont see any harm keeping it to your self

If I were the only one to have such a power, I would use it but keep it to myself. If it were more of a common thing, as in the Talent Universe, I'd be inclined to be quite public.

I'd hope I had anything other than clairvoyancy. Knowing things isn't always pleasant.

If I was a kinetic, OTOH... wow! If there's one sci-fi invention I've always wished was real, it's the ability to teleport. I could go on holiday for free, just visiting whatever and whoever I wanted without forking out for hotels or transport. An hour here, an afternoon there. Instead of swimming in the gym a couple of times a week, I'd go snorkelling at dawn in the far east... No more waiting around in airports, an extra half hour in bed before bamfing into work each day.

Being a micro-kinetic would also be good. I'd sort out my innards for starters, and then re-train as a medic and sort out everyone else!

I don't think I could keep it a secret, so I'd probably end up sedated in an asylum...

I decided I probably should explain my wanting to keep it a secret. If I had any one "super" power/talent, etc. I'd want the power to heal. The thing is, if I'm the only one with that ability and it was public can you imagine what my life would be like? There is no way I could heal everyone, but I think the pleas that I would get would be heart-breaking.

So secretive it is.

The ability to see the future, depending on what kind of clairvoyance it was I might be more public with it. To be able to find missing people? How could you not let police know?

It would not be easy no matter which ability you had. You would have to balence your privacy and inability to help everyone with what your talent nakes it possible to do.

I'd love the chance to try to do that though!

Being a nurse, it'd be damn hard to keep a healing talent quiet... Other nurses spot things, ike when murderous nursing staff are having their wicked way with too many patients! It's usually the other nurses who spot the unusual deaths... Similarly, I'd expect them to note miraculous recoveries... I care a lot (although I may not always show it in my posts) about my patients and am greatly affected by their plights. If I had the ability, I'd simply have to use it to help as many folk as possible!

And then get locked up.

I suppose that'd be everyone's problem.

Selfishly I'd like a mechanic affinity. I'm a practical person anywayish and I could see a million and one ways to use it in my current studies. Or telekinesis to make up for my clumsiness.
Unselfishly, maybe empathy, though I know that it would drive me insane eventually. Being able to help people, even unconsciously.

I think I'd like to be a kenetic myself... I'd be able to do my job and other things at the same time... it's like having as many hands as you can think of moving around disembodied at the same time.

Secretive? Maybe, but I think I'd tell certian people, and only show them... and I'd be careful amonst others (except for maybe when the woman feels like parking her cart in the middle of the aisle and standing off to one side... I might have to "move" it over to teh side she's standing on)... however, It'd eventually get out, and I'd either be locked up, or taken to go safely transport hasardous materials for the military without a radiation suit.

Telepathy--wouldn't be public, would use it. It'd be nice to know if the creepy guy who follows me in the parking lot towards my car is doing it coincidentally, or has other intentions. Of course, people have nasty minds, and I'm not sure I'd want to hear some of it. I'm pretty sure I'd be bored sick by a good deal, as well.

Teleportation--now, that would be nice. Would use it, not so publicly.

Healing--same as above, but I'm not so sure I'd want it. It'd be nice to use, but what about the guilt for the things you can't heal?

Kinetic--no. I'm too lazy as it is.

A weather affinity would be very useful as would clairvoyance I think, plus minor telepathy/empathy and MAYBE teleportation/telekineseis one or the other though with the possibility of developing the oter to an extent at a later date.

Telepathy so I could keep an eye on kibbie & plant the suggestion that she get her school work DONE. It would also be nice to talk to people without every one else hearing. I could have a PRIVATE convertion with my Hubby.
I would also love to be able to communicate with animals. If you take this medicane than you will fell better or if you do not roll in cow dung than you would not have to have bath. Also black kittys with white strips DO NOT make good play mates. That sort of thing.
