PLEASE READ FIRST

Welcome to the Spam thread! This thread has one reason – Spamming. All posts must fall within site guidelines (obviously) and NO POSTS MAY BE MADE AFTER THE FIFTIETH PAGE (2,500 posts).

Whoever posts the 2,500th post (the last on page 50) starts the new spam thread.

Apart from the above, anything goes. You may post as much, and whatever, you like. Many posts are contain ‘Spam!’ and subsidiary terms, such as ‘Spamsanity!’. There is no requirement to read anything posted in the periods between you last visits.

Post counts do not matter. Spam is not intended to be a race against time or for high post counts. Please do not try and one-up each other, and do NOT quote post counts in large amounts.

They sound delicious; and you said earlier you cook from scratch?

Started cooking from scratch when I retired. Before that, mixes galore. But I decided that since I no longer have any little kids running around or a husband to nag at me, it was time to learn to cook.

That's admirable. It's hard enough for me to get easy stuff together. I'd love to learn to cook without a recipe.

Here's a recipe with no book required:
Teriyaki sauce:
Mirin, Soya, Sugar, Rice Vingear.

Equal portions (best to taste it just before you stick it in the pan)
Heat up until just boiling, then add your meat and simmer for 5-10mins. The sauce should thicken by then too.

:D

This is from a Japanese (as in, from Japan) cook that I swear by and doesn't need any 'skills' :D

I really hope his is from a store and he can exchange it for her (and that she hasnt' opened it) because mine is from Amazon.com and you can't exchange it there. :irked:

When I was about 11 years old, I let my older sister cut my hair. BIG MISTAKE! I ended up looking like a boy. :faint: I pretty much attacked her when I saw how bad it was and she scratched a hunk out of my cheek. It was a nice moon shape. And that same week, I got braces and new UGLY glasses.

I never looked uglier in my life. :no:Aaaaw!! :patpat:

My son asked if his new (and really his first) girlfriend could come over on Sunday for the afternoon. Is the Eldest or Scavy? (I presume the former since he's older but you never know!)

Plat, sorry about your hair! :hugs:

Jax

I can't believe this mess has happened while Wolfie's computer is out of commission. :gaah:Tell me about it!!! What the hell!?!?!

Should only need to have the linking address changed on the forum page.
But probably something totally different lol.If only one of the rest of us knew how to do it :erm:

:hugs: I'm used to website blunders.

Just wonder who messed with it, cos normally stuff like this doesn't happen just out of the blue, someone has to change it!I was the only host online at the time. I certainly didn't mess with anything, it changed from one moment to the next, because I'd been clicking the index link regularly through the evening and then all of a sudden I got the test board.

In other news, I'm realllly sad, mum rang this morning to tell me my dog had a heart attack overnight and she had to take him to the vet this morning and have him put to sleep :( :hugs: I know what that's like. Not fun!

QUICKLINKS up at the top in between SEARCH & LOG OUT! I don't know any other way to do it :shrug:At the bottom of the index page is a list of people who are looking at the board. There're the words 'Who's Online' that is a link you can click to get to the Who's Online page as well

Hey Faren (or other Host), can anyone else put up one of those global announcements or stickys that come up when you go to www.annemccaffreyfans.org? (http://www.annemccaffreyfans.org/forum/../?)Only a few of us can :(

My Mum died in my first term at uni, I was told they wouldn't make me resit even if I failed the year. Luckily I passed anyway, so I never needed to test that promise.

That's nice. Does that mean you aren't going to Matt's then?
:( :hugs:

Still don't know yet...

It was  I had another lie intoday, and have had a busy day so far. Several jobs could be done sat down though, so that helped. I'm now eating grapes between posts!Didn't you say you were going out for dinner? How was it?

Rabbles hasn't been on in some time now. Really miss her unique comments.Me too! Will have to give her a poke next time I see her on MSN, though she's been busy working I think.

Washing machine is on it's 4th load of the day. I think I can now play some RuneScape while it washes though :)You know, I think I read 2 or 3 posts of yours about washing before getting to this one, and it was only when I got to this last one that it clicked. Thanks for reminding me I need to do some washing!

Parents are using ALL the wrapping paper :irked::erm: Buy your own? It's not that expensive.

I am SO ticked! One of the presents that I got for my friend (that I've had for a month, mind you) someone else (that I despise, btw) got her the same thing and they exchanged gifts on Thursday! :irate:

I'm going to a friend's place from Spar tonight for drinks, may possibly even get drunk (though I stop drinking when I start feeling sick). Might stay over, since it's bloody freezing I'll drive there, otherwise it's a 15/20 minute walk in the cold, and why walk when I can drive? They said I was welcome to stay  So I might not be here tonight.

Today on the other hand, I think I'll be mostly staying in... it's icy outside and I should do some washing and tidying and I need to clean my bathroom. *waves yay flag*

Turns out it was the time the tills opened, and the doors had opened 30mins or so before  Never mind, I think we have everything we need now, and even if we don't, I'm not going back!

Tell me about it!!! What the hell!?!?!
If only one of the rest of us knew how to do it :erm:
Only a few of us can :(

Still don't know yet...

Didn't you say you were going out for dinner? How was it?

You know, I think I read 2 or 3 posts of yours about washing before getting to this one, and it was only when I got to this last one that it clicked. Thanks for reminding me I need to do some washing!

Maybe when the board is fixed again, a few more of you need to learn some of the useful techy stuff  It is S*ds law that this would happen when Wolfie can't be here to fix it of course

I don't know what they are playing at, surely something should have been said so that everyone knows what is happening. As it is they may be assuming you'll be there, but you are assuming not as they haven't said anything directly. Still seems wrong to me if they don't invite you over :shake::group:

Yeah we went out for a curry Friday night  It was very tasty. Curry house was packed, busiest I'd ever seen it, but the servise was still good. I was impressed. I saw and ex-pupil. I would not have remembered her, but she was certain she knew me, and she was right. I'd love to know what I did that meant she remembered me :erm:

I'm going to a friend's place from Spar tonight for drinks, may possibly even get drunk (though I stop drinking when I start feeling sick). Might stay over, since it's bloody freezing I'll drive there, otherwise it's a 15/20 minute walk in the cold, and why walk when I can drive? They said I was welcome to stay  So I might not be here tonight.

Today on the other hand, I think I'll be mostly staying in... it's icy outside and I should do some washing and tidying and I need to clean my bathroom. *waves yay flag*

If you are planning to drink a lot, you should not be driving. Ideally you shouldn't have even one drink if you are driving. I say stay over since they said you could

I suppose I should start my washing then...

That would be a good plan

Hungry. I think I still have some bacon I might go burn

Lazy days can be nice, especially at this time of year. I've been debating whether to do any sch**l stuff :erm: Part of me feels that I should, but more of me doesn't want to. Since I still don't feel 100% I think I can justify not w*rking ... I'm not used to not w*rking though :help:

I hate to disagree, but I can't see what harm any of the hosts would do having access to posting on the main page. The "too many cooks spoil the broth" DOES apply to the actual number of hosts, which I find ridiculous for the actual amount of posting that goes on, but I digress. You can't distrust the other hosts if you're another host, that breeds distrust among members.

He didn’t steal the bike…he has one of his own. He just unhooked the chain…fairly simple thing to do, hence the reason it only took me five minutes to scream out the window when he did it, rush outside, scream more curses at his retreating arse and then fix it myself.
