What's your degree in? Is a degree the same as a diploma? Over here they're rather different.

Well, the diploma is the actual piece of paper they give you showing that you have earned your degree :)

My degree is in Human Development & Family Studies with a concentration on early childhood. Which is a loooong complicated way of saying I studied preschool children ;)

Congrats. Now when do you start working?

Of course, studying preschoolers should make you eligible for free pschiatric exams.

Aren't you heading for Germany soon? Alittle different climate than Vegas.

Yep, I'm heading to Germany sometime in the new year. Probably around late January. Being military, there's no exact date until the hubby calls to say "Pack up your stuff, we're leaving Tuesday!"

And actually, I've been going to school in Reno. So.. I've had 4.5 years to get used to cold winters! Though.. something tells me NV is still nothing compared to Germany.

Nope... NV is a lot more flat than Germany, less trees, and not as much snow in winter.

So, are you going to work a base day care?

Hey, NV has lots of mountains! And here in Northern NV we have lots of trees. As for the middle and southern part of the state... yeah. Desert. Lots of desert. But they still have mountains!

Working at a base day care is the plan for now. IF they have any openings. Otherwise I'll try to get something temporary doing something else but still working with the little critters. That's one good thing about military communities-- there are plenty of youth and family outreach programs to get involved with. :)
