I just had another friend basically tell me to get stuffed because they couldn't come to my BBQ party - apparently I'd not given them enough warning (only about 2 months, even if the date wasn't set til about 2 weeks beforehand) and when they asked if I was coming around tonight and I said I can't because I had a bunch of stuff to sort out, was washing my car and waiting for the guy to come drop off the deposit for it that I couldn't go see them, they then basically told me to get lost.

Yes, it's hard, and he gets a bit frustrated, but he's a big prankster at heart so he makes little jokes and that helps. It also helps just to see his personality shining through, and knowing he's still in there.

Eep! I'm such a procrastinator! I need to get up and have a quick shower and then start my packing! I also need to change some money into euros today before I go!

Just got back from the doc.

My regular doc was back this morning, and I managed to get an earlier appointment because Sneak has been horribly still the past day or so plus the pains I've been experiencing where the placenta is.

She swapped me from the nasty meds the other doc had me on to the same stuff I took when Boo decided to try and come several weeks early, mostly I believe because the other made me so sick, I've lost ten pounds the past two weeks. Then she did a non-stress test and an ultrasound to check on Sneak and to check for any tears under the placenta.

Apparently Sneak did not like the position they had me laying in for the NST, and she pitched an absolute fit. I haven't felt her move that much in weeks, and it was very reassuring. The doc didn't find any obvious tears, and Sneak was actually measuring five days ahead, likely due to the steroids she was given Tuesday.

The doc still wants me taking it easy, keeping up with my meds, drinking as much water as I can stomach, and I'm to go back every week now for another NST and ultrasound since it can be easy to miss small tears in the placenta. She wants to keep a close check to make sure Sneak keeps getting all the oxygen and nutrients she needs, and I'm to call immediately if anything seems off.

Whew, do I feel better! I'm sure I'll be even happier once the last of the awful meds are out of my system.

Yes! Except there's a riddle-- he's trying to talk, and he keeps wanting to talk about the same thing. All we can understand is "Why do I...." When we ask, is it about you? your health? a family member? He keeps saying no. He finally said, yes, about his house, but we can't get to what. He says no to bedroom, garden, kitchen, his building, the basement. Can anyone think of anything we're missing?Bedroom/kitchen/garden/hallway/stairs?

I just had another friend basically tell me to get stuffed because they couldn't come to my BBQ party - apparently I'd not given them enough warning (only about 2 months, even if the date wasn't set til about 2 weeks beforehand) and when they asked if I was coming around tonight and I said I can't because I had a bunch of stuff to sort out, was washing my car and waiting for the guy to come drop off the deposit for it that I couldn't go see them, they then basically told me to get lost.

I am only on for a min.. I found out that somehow we down loaded a ton of viruses onto the new computer, it will have to be wiped clean & everything reinstalled. It may be awhile before I am back.

Just got back from the doc.

My regular doc was back this morning, and I managed to get an earlier appointment because Sneak has been horribly still the past day or so plus the pains I've been experiencing where the placenta is.

She swapped me from the nasty meds the other doc had me on to the same stuff I took when Boo decided to try and come several weeks early, mostly I believe because the other made me so sick, I've lost ten pounds the past two weeks. Then she did a non-stress test and an ultrasound to check on Sneak and to check for any tears under the placenta.

Apparently Sneak did not like the position they had me laying in for the NST, and she pitched an absolute fit. I haven't felt her move that much in weeks, and it was very reassuring. The doc didn't find any obvious tears, and Sneak was actually measuring five days ahead, likely due to the steroids she was given Tuesday.

The doc still wants me taking it easy, keeping up with my meds, drinking as much water as I can stomach, and I'm to go back every week now for another NST and ultrasound since it can be easy to miss small tears in the placenta. She wants to keep a close check to make sure Sneak keeps getting all the oxygen and nutrients she needs, and I'm to call immediately if anything seems off.

Whew, do I feel better! I'm sure I'll be even happier once the last of the awful meds are out of my system.

That is good news. Hopefully you'll be able to relax a bit more now, which has to be good for both you and Sneak. :group:

Oh! And the guy came around and dropped off the 50 pounds deposit! :hapdance: Just have to organise when he can pick it up now, since apparently he might be on a course with the army that day, so his wife might come get it. (I don't care as long as I get the other 250 quid!)

He says no to bedroom, garden, kitchen, his building, the basement. Can anyone think of anything we're missing?

It's to do with building and carrying out experiments to study these.

Ehhh, I don't know. I don't normally read novels, and none of the characters are really likable. They're all kind of jerks (well, yeah, greek gods, makes sense) and... I guess I just finished all of the 'set-up' for the real plot, I just don't really feel like finishing it.

Ehhh, I don't know. I don't normally read novels, and none of the characters are really likable. They're all kind of jerks (well, yeah, greek gods, makes sense) and... I guess I just finished all of the 'set-up' for the real plot, I just don't really feel like finishing it.

The classes are just informational classes for the coming school year. I didn't get into the class about new policies on writing IEP (individualized education plans). I did get into the class about writing transition plans and for the National Board Certification process, so that is a positive. Have some other classes planned, too, but don't get paid for taking them.

It's this thing artists do when you get super rich and popular within your lifetime. You have student-artists who you mentor and basically teach how to do your stuff. It's pretty similar to what they do in animation studios, really.

I don't think he even comes up with an idea for each strip, I think he just approves them. But I don't really know...

There was the most annoying kid in cadets last night.

I had, at the last minute, been asked to teach radio.

My lecture was pretty bad and I appologised saying that next week I'd bring a laser along to give them an idea of some of the processes involved.

So this new girl says "I don't like physics, it's boring". That I wouldn't've minded.

I did mind the five minute repetitions over the rest of the evening!

It wasn't fair on the other cadets and it put a dampener on my evening

Had the paras out to my client today. She was making the most gastly groaning sounds when she breathed out. Was covering my back and making sure she was ok (of course she was breathing normally when they turned up :roll:) They checked her anyway and while she was on her side (then checking the lungs with the stethoscope) she brought up the most MASSIVE glob of phlegm I have ever seen :crazy: must have been fist sized at least and her swallowign capability is declining. But it DID clear her airway nicely :biggrin:
