PLEASE READ FIRST
Welcome to the Spam thread! This thread has one reason – Spamming. All posts must fall within site guidelines (obviously) and NO POSTS MAY BE MADE AFTER THE FIFTIETH PAGE (2,500 posts).
Whoever posts the 2,500th post (the last on page 50) starts the new spam thread.
Apart from the above, anything goes. You may post as much, and whatever, you like. Many posts are contain ‘Spam!’ and subsidiary terms, such as ‘Spamsanity!’. There is no requirement to read anything posted in the periods between your last visits.
Post counts do not matter. Spam is not intended to be a race against time or for high post counts. Please do not try and one-up each other, and do NOT quote post counts in large amounts.

& the firing squad is Meelo, Bronzie, and Samarra
& no one can hassle Mawfone or Ryuu for misspellings (at least not more than 5 times)

Well, Cosmos, you are right. I do love watching old men drive by in their prized Cadillacs and seeing the pooper-scoopers do their work, but I think that since I attended the glory of the 4th of July parade last year, that I can skip this year's parade.

Hahahaa, I tried last year. My camera sucks hard when it comes to that sort of photography--the zoom isn't good enough, and really it's... sad. The parade used to be REALLY cool like 5 years ago, but now it is depressingly stupid.
Also the chances of me running into someone from high school are pretty great, and I'd prefer to avoid most of them at this point! ;)

With StumbleUpon, you press a button and it takes you to a random site (In categories you previously set up). You then can rate the site 'thumbs up' or 'thumbs down' and then you stumble again. Based on past stumbles and ratings it tries to find sites you might like.

It's a dip-pen! You carry a bottle of ink with you! It totally works!
You also have to have an angled surface and a specific kind of paper, but hey! It's CONVENIENT!
Yes... that sounds convenient...
I like my cartridge/converter... it allows a day or two's worth of ink to stay in the pen. And it has a cap. When empty, it goes back to the bottle for a refill.

I've got a couple of calligraphy fountain pens. Good when you want nice text (I use it all the time in my D&D campaigns.. gives a nice flavor to the maps etc). But a regular tipped fountain pen (fine point for me) is best for a daily use pen.
If I don't get my pen back this weekend, on Monday I'll ink one of my other fountain pens and contemplate getting another one of the ones I lost. Maybe in a different color... like clear.

The body of the pen is transparent so you can see the inner workings. And the ink capacity easily. I've found it online as low as $25 and I think it will be my next pen.

It makes it rather difficult to get a place if you have pets.
Ummm by days and I have no car anymore :( (and wouldn't be able to use Dad's since I'll be here and not there.
I'm sure rental places do exist that allow pets, but they may well be few and far between.
Uh :( So you really need to consider changing the shipping details then.
In US it goes back previous year, but we file our Fafsas and the stuff in January so it still applies, I'd have to wait until next school year until it applies, and even then I probably still won't get much because the state assumes parents help kids with schooling, even if there is no evidence of the contrary.
The assumption that parents will help fund kids through uni is made in the UK too. I doubt it's always a correct one.

Toph's going to have to drive himself to the festival tomorrow, where he's down to work from noon until closing around 11 p.m. This worries me. His depth perception isn't great, but it's okay during the day. But at night, it's pretty much nonexistent.
Surely there has to be a better option. Someone who would be able to give him a lift home?
Sneak makes the fifth girl born on Toph's side of the family in the past six years. The fact we shouldn't have to buy her anything in the way of clothing other than diapers for the next several years is going to be one major saving grace for us right now.
That will help so much! I was the eldest of 5 girl cousins (in 2 family groups) on my mums side, my clothes got passed down loads!

We got some hopeful news about a banking job for Toph today. The woman's at least interested in looking at his resume/considering him for an interview, which is more than we've gotten for something non-education related all summer.
:Xfinger:
:Xfinger:
It wouldn't pay nearly as much as teaching, which is kinda sad considering, but with gas the way it is you can't beat a six mile a day commute. Especially considering we had to do 108 miles a day last year getting him to and from work thanks to persistent seizures.
Thank goodness, it's looking like the new doctor has finally gotten them under control. No auras for two full months, and he's even put back on four of the fifteen pounds he lost. :D
That is good news :)

(Is it punishment for breaking some idiot's heart in my younger years? Or maybe that time I set a mouse on fire out at a friend's sheep station...but that was an accident! The mouse RAN into the ring of fire we were setting up! And then it was dumb enough to run into the unlit petrol! For serious, that wasn't my fault! Why isn't God punishing my friend Leanne then??)

I kind of miss my alter.
I wish I had a real life alter that would be able to take the crap that keeps getting slung my way at the moment without batting an eyelid. as if my life couldn't get any more miserable mum decided to moan about me to my eldest brother, who promptly phoned me, spent half an hour chewing me out, threatenign to come over and knock my block of if I didn't change my ways etc...(and he would - which is what scares me) and just making me even more depresed than I already am. I am TRYING to get a job so I can escape this personal hell I am in, but it is so difficult to get a dammned job!!!!

Have therefore spent the entire evenign in tears having both mum and dearestbrother telling me I need to utterly change who I am, that I am arrogant, a bitch, lazy, unwanted, not welcome...ect..
(Ironically mum still wants to come to graduation)
I really wish I had somewhere in preston to go for a couple of weeks. And i don't want to impose on my grandma or aunt nellie cos they are getting older and somethign my brother spit at me about playing dad off against mum (I moan to dad from time to time about her) suggests that I would not be welcome there either.

OK it means I cant' always get a shift everyday, does this make me lazy? NO, and I am still expected to do ALL of the housework somehow. stupid people that celebrate on the 4th. Smart people don't bother me... the stupid ones do.
Tell me about it. It seems like it's the "cool" thing to do to set off your fireworks between one and three feet from the edge of the road, and even more special to aim them at a 45 degree angle over the road. I had to stop at least three times on the not quite three mile drive between the in-laws' house and home to wait for fireworks to stop going off before I could safely drive by. Oh, and one moron was setting off his display not fifty feet from a FIREWORKS STAND! Like that isn't begging for a disaster. All it takes is one defective roman candle going off sideways...
Then, we reached the little road we live on, and I notice little brother's soon to be in-laws setting off anywhere from two to five of the large multi-shot deals at once, with them sitting not two feet from the edge of the road, some actually IN the road. I almost guarantee you half of them are drunk.
I'm so calling him in the morning and ripping him a new one about allowing the stupidity of others to place people in danger, when he'll hopefully be sober and likely hungover like no one's business. He KNOWS crap like that is both stupid and dangerous, and I promise you he didn't say a word because he was afraid it'd hurt his chances of staying over or some other such nonsense. :irate:

Not to my way of thinking no.

I'm sure you contribute as much as you can both financially (remembering you almost certainly have student debt) and practically. I understand your reasons for not wanting to work in some places, plus it would not be a good idea to work 7 days a week even if you could get the shifts.
