Great News posters I'm BACK well at least till the next time :) ok firstly I'd like to thank my little sis for letting you know what was happening and secondly all of you and your posts they mean a great deal to me.

ok I'd better let you know what happend,

as some of you know i've built up a resistance to Lamotrogine which was one of the drugs i used to take for my epilepsy so when the hospital dropped that they ramped up the other drug I take Carbomezepan (moe commonly known as Tegratol or Tegratol Retard which is the time release version of which the form I use) to 2g twice daily, over the weeks I've been on this dose a large amount has built up in my body, ok thats the background onwards to last thursday I went into town (Huntingdon) to sort some odds and ends, I got 2 mins from the bus when i started going dizzy ok I thought im going hypo no problem get some sugar inside me, I carry a tube of hypo stop on me at all time just in case so i got that into me gave it a minute or two no change about 30 secs later my legs went and I went down i could'nt move my arms and my speech was all over the place things start to go really fuzzy her so i don't really know the order of events all I can do is give you is the bits i remember and thats still a little fuzzy as i said I'm now on the floor in the middle of the street unable to move my speech all over the place (a bit like my typng tonight), I remember being lifted on to something by green people wich i take as being the paramedics, my next memory is of being in A & E at Hitchingbrooke hospital being questioned by nurses asking how current my braclet was ( I wear a Med alert Braclet with all my medical details on beleive me it's saved my life more than once), from here it goes agaiin, the next thing i remember is coming round on the ward, this is about 9pm so some how I'm missing nearly a whole day i was told that i would be in at least to the weekend until they could besure of exactly what was wrong with me so I'm not alowed out of bed let a lone off the ward, well thats the gist of what put in there, the cause well if you look back i said about the carbomezeapan levels had been going up well I'd gone well above overdose levels and the way carbomezeapan works is as a neural inhibitor so littrally my body was shutting down on me, so for 4 days they've been slowly reducing the levels so it didn't put my body into shock, and I finally got out at 7pm today.

Many thanks to the nurse's of Damson ward nothing was too much trouble for them and one of them might be joining us on the board soon so pls welcome her warmly, shes reading the talent series at the moment and looks forward to meeting you all

Att that sounds scary. I also have epilepsy and take Lamotrogine. I've been on it since 2000 and I'm hoping that building up resistance is not a common thing. I have had no seizures in over 8 1/2 years and want to keep it that way. I hope you will be ok now.

Make sure you don't try getting an appointment with Dr. Franklin (I hear he's out there with G'Kar exploring the Rim & if you're waiting for him to get back, you're more likely to find to reach him by going out there yourself! Don't you dare!:tapfoot: )
