Call of Cthulhu is a brilliant game.

I once gmed a game when the players loaded up on the military hardware, and blasted away at a walking log-thing that totally ignored the gunfire and trampled half the party into the dirt; the rest ran away, were met by the police, they shot each other up and the rest of the players ended up in gaol. Meanwhile this thing was tramping around the state and couldn't be stopped.

The game I played in one of the other players had his character Build us custom body armor , helmets with built in Heads up displays and assault rifles with under barrel shotguns.
