I absolutely love comedies! Sure I love action films too (but this thread is about programmes, not movies - are there any action programs?) and I suppose I like some romances and dramas, I even like some reality shows, but I adore comedies :D
What I wanna know is, what comedy programs crack you up?
There are ones like Friends that are classic, but I'm going to mention some others that come to mind - now these aren't going to be the only ones I like, I can only remember so much at a time so bear with me, and I'll probably add more to the thread as I remember them anyways :D
I just watched the funniest episode of Kenny vs Spenny, though I've only seen a few so far, they had to wear blindfolds for 3 days and see which one gave up first - the punishment for the loser Spenny was a hoot!!
I love Scrubs, that program cracks me up, umm :D
Joey is ok but doesn't really hold a candle to Friends
That 70s Show is pretty damn halarious! (does anyone know if this is still being made?)
The Simpsons has soooo many jokes in it I love to watch it - and The Family Guy is too
Ok, I can't think of any more at the moment, anyone else got some I haven't thought of?

I like satire such as can be found in The Simpsons, Blackadder, Yes Minister, Red Dwarf, Have I Got News For You, Frasier, BrassEye and more. Admittedly, all these shows have other forms of humour which I enjoy, but they all also have contemporary references that often crack me up.
I also love the brand of humour that is just silly. Think Naked Gun, films from the Coen Brothers (especially The Big Lebowski), The Simpsons (again), My Family and other films and TV that just step away from reality in that studied but ludicrous way.

Simpsons, Frasier, first two or three seasons of Friends (the story really deteriorated when the stars started to approach 40 and were still in the same situation)... British comedy like Hale & Pace, Keeping up Appearances, Yes, (Prime) Minister, 'Allo, 'allo...

I also like Friends, Malcom in the Middle is a great one, South Park, Keeping up Appearances, Gimme Gimme Gimme.

I love Malcom too Beisla - and another one that isn't a comedy as such but still cracks me up is Star Gate, there are so many jokes in that too!

Most of the previously mentioned shows get me laughing!
But I really crack up at Billy Connolly, mostly of all his older 'live' shows
Just the mention of 'The lions on the Serngetti' is enough to get me chuckling
The Fast Show is a classic British show, I wonder how much of it would be understood by other Nationals as it is a very English humour!
Most topical satyr shows as in 'Not the Nine o/clock news' and 'Have I got news for you'
There are some American shows that I enjoy but they seem to lack the sharp wit that is very much a part of British comedy.

OMG, Jax. Kenny vs. Spenny. I didn't think that anyone else had even heard of that show, much less seen it. They used to show it on the CBC, but I'm not sure if they still do. They were constantly changing the day and time of that show. Too bad.
One show that I watch religiously is The Daily Show. Jon Stewart has great comic timing. And yes, it's political satire, but you don't have to be particularily political to enjoy it.
As for movies, I seriously recommend Office Space. Very funny.

One of the funniest shows of all time was Arsenic and Old Lace. Oscar was done in the same frantic pace/mode and turned out funnier than many people thought possible. If you haven't seen those two movies yet, I highly recommend them. :D

That movie Nen, Oscar, with Sylverster Stallone?? It's one of the funniest movies I've seen!! I got it from a video sale and now is barely watchable  but I don't think it's been released on DVD yet *le sigh*
