Math or Science. In my defense, I had really miserable teachers. How do I know? Because in high school I got D's in Algebra and about 5 years ago I took a college Algebra class as part of other courses I needed and I got an A. That was because I had my husband teaching me, and he had the patience and knowledge to be able to go "at" problems from different directions if I didn't understand it one way or another. So, it isn't always the students who are stupid!

I could have used multiple choice on this one. Of course, it's been decades since I had to take a class. But "when" wasn't specified.

I voted other because I had more than one. Math, political science and PE! :banghead:
Like Clamsis, in math, my problem was my teachers. In high school, I barely passed Algebra 1 & 2 and the only reason I passed geometry was that I got a tutor. I learned more from him in a few months than I had all year.
When I went to college, I got an excellent Algebra teacher. :ok: He made it so easy to understand what he was telling me and I made A's in both my classes.
Political science & Government just went over my head. And PE was just torture.

And that, hands down, would be Math... Ick! Thank Faranth I never have to take another Math course again in my life! :bouncy: Finished my final math course last semester at the end of January, didn't fail the diploma exam, and now I have evil plots to roast smores over my Math notes the night I graduate (okay, the graduation ceremonies... ;)) in May...
By the way, wooly, I like your avatar, hehehehe, cute!

I chose Geography :) When I was doing it I found it to be one of the most boring classes... History was ok, Physics, Biology and Chemistry were fine (Chemistry less so), and maths was great ;)

English was the one class that I never enjoyed. I hated the required reading assignments--the books were just so dull, yet I love reading on my own. I tore through every Tom Clancy novel over one summer break. I think most of what I know about writing I learned simply by reading and noticing how sentences are pieced together. It wasn't until reading through a grammar guide that I learned what the actual rules were, even though I'd been following them all along. During the senior year, we had a semester of speech, and I did enjoy that, if only because it was something different.
History, political science, and geography were all kinda rolled together into social studies, didn't really care for this one until senior year--great teacher.
PE was occasionally fun, a break from classroom work, and a good way to work off some energy.
I struggled through my algebra classes, as did everyone else--I blame the teacher--but I wouldn't say I hated it. Trigonometry, however, was one of my favorites.
And I liked all of the sciences, especially physics, though I coulda done without the dissections in biology. What can I say? I'm squeamish.

Poor dear... You'd have never made it through the dissections my Bio 30 class did on pig fetuses last semester. I disemboweled my group's pig (had nothing better to do while Janine and Eleshia untangled the intestines), and we were actually gonna play double-Dutch with another group... ;) We called our subject "Izzy, a pig", because by the end of the class, we were all going "Is 'e a pig?"
Back in tenth grade, when we worked with leopard frogs, I accidentally tore my frog's arm off while trying to pull the skin back to look at the muscles. They ust don't make frogs like they used to... ;) I also turned "Kermit's" head into a finger puppet... :D
Dude, I miss Bio... :'(

We had to dissect an earthworm, a frog and a cow's eyeball. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but I certainly don't want to do it again. In fact, I'd probably refuse to do it now. Wish I'd been that brave back then. :tilt: At least I didn't get squirted when we cut into it like my friend did.

I'd have to say political sciences stuff sucked. My teacher was a die-hard liberal and I'm more conservative. It doesn't help when the teacher called some of us bunch of us racists and liars. She was not justified in calling us those either.

I really hated phys ed. I was not particularly good at gymnastics and was trying to do a straddle somersault. I landed incorrectly, injuring the nerves around my spine and was temporarily paralyzed. I had asked for a spotter but it was denied because "it was such an easy somersault". The kids kicked me as I lay there...they figured I'd cry out in pain and they'd prove I was faking. The ambulance came, I laid on a stretcher in the hallway for 2 hours until the nerves settled back down. While I was laying there, a suicide victim was rushed past me (still alive at the time). That was not a good day.

Oh the pain of choosing between Maths and PE. I settled on Maths in the end because I had more maths periods than PE. PE was only 2 periods a week, maths was 6 I think.

Well, I don't enjoy complex math, nor the elements of the sciences once I get INTO complex math (it does, literally, make my head hurt even if I get it right most of the time). In college I therefore took Astronomy, Physical Geography, and Entomology (bugs!) just to avoid really large amounts of math. *chuckles*
I am also not a fan of general "Phys Ed." I love being active, but the sports I'm any good at are backpacking/hiking, English Horseback riding, Archery, and Fencing! And I hate running and sit ups and push ups. I've also had some pretty crappy PE teachers (and one or two GREAT ones...so I have a comparison!)

I had a problem with chemistry. We were studying the different reactions that heat caused on different elements when added together, and we were supposed to crush the test tube. Well, my partner Tyler and I, including the fact that this was 9:00 AM, weren't think so she held the test tube vertically with the prongs and I crushed it with a text book. But as you can imagine, pieces of glass went flying everywhere and I even cut Tyler with a piece of glass.
My friend Amanda burned a hole through the lab table doing the same experiment. Not to mention through her text book as well.

Sorry, but I'd've probably called any creationist a lot worse, "misguided" probably being the mildest term I could think of.
My least favorite subject in school was definitely PE. I was always among the two last to be picked for a team (teachers should assign students to teams, not pick two captains and let them pick their friends) and horribly clumsy as well. I hated being graded, although I did realize that kids and young people should exercise to keep healthy.

I disliked classes in most subjects at some point.
*Math - I hated Honors Algebra II because the teacher was , really. He seated us according to grade (A's by the door, D's & F's by the window and air conditioner - so we couldn't hear.) He only talked to people in the first two rows and ridiculed everyone else. His method of teaching was to copy the example problem from the book onto the chalkboard and then give us the assignment. This was the first class I had a non-A in, and I barely had a C one quarter - much due to some in depth tutoring from my older brother on his breaks from college. Evil man.
In college I had to take 3 "Math for Elementary Teachers" classes in which 3/4 of the class didn't know what a fraction was. :banghead: I didn't learn anything in those classes. I hate boring classes.
*P.E. - I'm not an athletic person, so I didn't like most gym classes. I did like my Junior year class. We got to pick between bowling (no), team sports (no), or weight lifting (fun!)
*Social Studies/History - I like History, but I decided to take a non-honors class in high school because the honors class was *really* hard and I wanted to focus on other things. It was more boring than anything else.
*English - I was an English Minor in college. I had to take the same professor 4 times because she was the only person who taught some of my required classes. She told the same stupid stories every time (yeah, the story about the dog peeing on the papers you were supposed to be grading when you were working for a professor? Not funny the 4th time.) Also, she asked the same questions in all four classes. One of the classes was Young Adult Literature and one was Linguistics. How do we have the same quizzes? Plus, she didn't recognize me even the 4th time she had me. 4 semesters in a row in classes of 20 people or less and she didn't know me.
Anyway, I think a lot of the classes we all hate have more to do with the teachers than with the subject matter. I've had great teachers in subjects I thought I would hate and horrible teachers in subjects I usually love.
Rinoa:note:
I voted Math because that is the only subject that I really, really hated. (I cried over math homework. I never did that for anything else, even A.P. Biology. )
