Sigran Weyr has been reopened. Closed after only a few months in 2003, Sigran Weyr underwent major reconstructive surgery and came out a brand new Weyr just a few days ago. It is now an Alternate 8th Interval Weyr with no Thread anytime, now or anytime in the forseeable future. After a devestating combination of events, those who survived moved down the coast to a new home. There are several adoptable riders, holders and crafters available as well as the chance to create your own if you don't see one you like. The website is www.geocities.com/sigranweyr and you can link to the yahoogroups list from there.
We're desperate in need of players. Currently there are some ranking positions open with plenty of adoptable characters available. Although there is no clutch on the sands just yet, the queen is expected (well, it's more of a hope) to fly VERY soon. If you're looking for a first Weyr or thinking of adding another one, please check us out.

As I mentioned earlier, we're in need of players (as there are only four at the moment with only two of those are active at the moment). There is the distinct possibility of BoD positions in the future when a player has proven him/herself active, creative, and interested in the Weyr.
Also a flight and clutch are being planned, though the details are still being ironed out. Thus, anyone interested in adopting one of the bronzes and/or browns (or any of the other available characters) might have a chance at being Weyrleader. The positions of Weyrlingmaster, Wingleader, and various others are still available, again dependent on a creative, active player.

What style are you? RR or FP? Are the two active members fairly active?

Sigran is mainly RR with FP as needed, especially if a particular storyline requires it. I'm waiting on a persona sheet from the other member, but as soon as any sheets come in, posting will begin.

Players are more than welcome here and are, in fact, encouraged. We've plenty of ranking characters available. These include riders, Weyrlingmaster, Weyrleader (depending on the outcome of the flight), minor holders, etc in addition to possible BoD positions.

If you're interested in a round-robin style game with plenty of open spaces for rankers and you can either create a character or adopt one from those on the website.
Sigran Weyr is an alternate 8th Interval Weyr with Thread in the not-so-distant past. There is also a clutch hardening on the Sands so candidates are welcome as well as the well-rounded riders, holders, craftspeople, etc.
So, please, check out our site, www.geocities.com/sigranweyr , and see what it's all about

Just thought I'd post an update for Sigran Weyr. A few riders have returned to the Weyr from points elsewhere. For some, their reasons were family and others are unknown at the moment. Choranth has laid a clutch a little while ago and the candidates have already begun arriving. The candidatemaster, who was so enthusiastic at the beginning of his term, has not been heard from in some time though his dragon says he's fine. If you would like to take a look around, our site is www.geocities.com/sigranweyr

The Weyr just got a new candidatemaster because the former candidatemaster hasn't been seen for a while. Oh, and the clutch is about to hatch. That must have been the LONGEST incubation I've ever seen. Still. . .if you're interested, the site is www.geocities.com/sigranweyr

Well, it's a new year and I'm sure that we've all been trying
out new resolutions to see which we'll be keeping (or at least attempt
to try and keep) in the New Year. Why not make one of those
resolutions trying out a new Weyr?
Sigran Weyr is an 8th Interval Weyr with no Thread and no AIVAS. After
some devastating events (like plague and natural disasters) that killed
many people, the Weyr has moved and is trying to rebuild. Some riders
have returned from points abroad, thus swelling the numbers a bit
more. When bluerider Zhalara was appointed as Weyrlingmaster
2nd/candidatemaster in place of her blueriding collegue, it was with a
sigh of relief as the candidates were, well, getting a little bored and
disgruntled with all the chores they'd been doing lately.
We've got a few devious plots and plans scheduled for the new year, so
why not try out a new Weyr and see what's going on? The website is
www.geocities.com/sigranweyr if you're interested.
