I must say that all evil things has come together to stop me from doing much this month.
I have trouble finding a hotel or B&B sufficient for us, but I'm working on it belive me . I have five days of work before me now and will be able to do something after that .

As I am located in Sweden I only have internet and the telephone to work with, I guess that any suggestion is welcome.
If we have a local or almost local person in or outside Glasgow I'm grateful for some help.

Then there is the question asked of what we do at a Gather? Answer is;whatever we like !
This thread will be the best to use for suggestions for entertainment !

If we take note of Queenrider Melodys questioning thread, we'll get a few ideas for gather entertainment... The format from other years works for me :ok:

Friday, meet & greet.
Saturday, breakfast, trivia, look around the city, par-tay!
Sunday, take hangover cures, say goodbye...?

That kinda thing...

Of course, that's just the basics! Anyone want to offer us specifics that they want to do?

For the past few years I've said that I'm interested, but not got round to going :erm:

Hopefully if the gather is sufficiently early in the year (i.e. before October) I can spend my hard earned summer job wages on train ticket to Glasgow ;)

How does Aug 5-7 sound early enough? Have been decided for a while now. :bouncy:

Sounds doable :) I should be working near Bristol and can probably get flights cheaper than a train. As long as I'm not working on the Friday :S

There're no slots for annual leave booking in August, so I'm going to have to rely on one of several options...

Being able to book a long weekend off work from the ward as annual leave!
Requesting the weekend as days off and work extra in the beginning of the week!
Getting a new job... (which isn't as desperate a step as it may seem, I hvae applied for a new position...!)
