Come on, fess up. Songs you hate to admit that you like. Therefore, guilty pleasure songs. Mine is... drumroll please... Barbie Girl, by Aqua.

Oh geez.... alright, here it is. The only songs I like that I hate to admit are some by Britney Spears: Toxic, Where Are You Now, Sometimes
Christina Aguilara: Genie in a Bottle
Atomic Kitten: Whole Again, Eternal Flame  :O

I grew up from December 1965 through summer of 1984 so I like the music I grew up on. Stuff from various popular groups back then and some thousands would swear they didn't like but secretly listened to anyway like Barry Manilow(admit it, "Weekend in New England" still gives you a warm fuzzy), Neil Diamond("Coming to America", "Forever in Blue Jeans", "September Morn") Rupert Holmes("The Pina Colada Song"), songs from Jimmy Buffet like "Margaritaville" and let's not forget the haunting song by Gordon Lightfoot "the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald". Songs that made us just plain feel good or songs that told a story about significant events in our world's history. Kinda like the way Menolly would write songs about Pern events or people or creatures that affected the population. Remember how the Firelizard song was so popular and how fast "Don't Leave Me Alone" raced around the planet due to anyone having firelizards being affected. I think it's an apt analogy.

If I like a song, I admit to it, even if I don't really care for the artist.

I like Spiderwebs, too.
I don't really go for Garth Brooks (anymore). He's kind of old and broken, but I still like The Thunder Rolls.

Anything by the BeeGees. Christopher Cross, Leo Sayer, Styx, REO Speedwagon, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers(up to their 6th album)...and oddly enough, the older generation of country singers(Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Barbara Mandrell, Red Sovine(the storyteller)...And of course, Beethoven. Yes, Beethoven. I had an incredible range of musical influences while I was growing up. To this day even tho I've been legally deaf since late summer of 1998, I can still remember what my fave music sounds like so when I write lyrics, I know the kind of music I'd like to match to those lyrics...wish I could write music as well as the lyrics so I could get some of it published finally but that will have to wait for awhile.
At least until there is a cure for deafness that's better than a cochlear implant.

I performed Barbie Girl with my mate, whom I fancied at the time, at the end of year 6. We STILL sing along to it, in all the right parts (and grease, which I can sing along to quite happily !!!) *cringe*
Ok, Air Supply and OTT- All out of love (I'm a sucker of slowies, romantic ones!!!)
Almost all Westlife (yes I do like them still),
Steps and the Spice Girls (I have albums for both  !!!),
BoyZone, Five, Take That, Banana Rama, N*sync, all the old pop classics.
Simon and Garfield- love them!!!!! and Meat Loaf- Bat out of Hell, I would do Anything for Love, Brian Adams- Everthing I do- you name it, classical, pop, rock, some indie,R and B, club, most of them I have a favorite, which I don't often admit to liking to!!!!!! Even some christian ones!!!!! Lol!!!!!

My friend told me Ken sounds really angry in that version. Hehe. And no shame in liking Lady Marmalade. Only shame in asking the chorus to people. ;)
