I realized I hadn't posted this story here - it was on the OKT. I revised it a bit just now. What do you think?

I loved it Brenda, and beautifully presented too which is a pet subject of mine.

I haven't been moved to post on the feedback forum before, but...
Brenda! Wow! :applause:
I hope you keep it going. Maybe you might show us Mirrim and T'gellan's first meeting? Knowing Mirrim, I'm sure it's a tale worth telling.

They probably met when Brekke was broght to Benden Weyr after the queens' battle. I liked the two of them in Dragonsong - they were bantering like good friends. He liked her spunk - she wasn't afraid to talk back to an older man - and she liked that he didn't talk down to her.

I like it, Brenda. However, I think it could use a more concluding statement at the end - it could show more of Mirrim's emotions. Not knowing whether to laugh or to cry is kind of indecisive. Overall, though, very good job stepping into Mirrim's shoes. Not everyone can do that.
Also, when Sanra comes back in, she immediately heads to the roasts. Wouldn't she head to Mirrim to tell her what happened, since Mirrim had been so distraught just before?

Well, one good thing for all the fooforaw on the board, I'm getting to read some excellent stories. Brenda, have you submitted any original works* to publishers? When you get published can I say I knew you when? You really have talent.
*I mean non-McCaffrey related ideas. Your own world building.

I really haven't written any non-fan fiction. Thank you though :D
Have you been reading my "Checking in from Colorado" thread in the Lounge? It's nonfiction but amusing!

Yes. Been following it totally green-eyed and green faced. Love the mountains and am vicariously enjoying your summer.
