Koolness
5th April 2005, 01:05 AM
Cindy is going to have the next surgery at 8:30 California time tommorow morning the 5th of April. She'll have to be in the Hospital for at least 2 days.
There is risk involved in any surgery especially in the neck.
Join me in wishing Cindy speedy recovery and lasting health.
Love Ya Cinders.

I've just come home from UCLA Medical Center where our Cinders is recovering from surgery.
The surgery went well, but was a bit more extensive than she had anticipated. She has 62 surgical staples over the incision. I gotta tell you, if not for those staples, you wouldn't believe she just had fairly major surgery yesterday. She looks great, her sense of humor is intact, and her smile is as usual irrepressible.
She may be in the hospital a few more days, but Cinders is definately on the road to recovery! :mexwave:

You didn't see a Nut and Bolt too????
If you did, tell her not to undo them....as her head will fall off!!!!
Tell her I'm are glad thats she's come thro' so well!
Does she know if she's going to have to wear a collar?
She's like me now....a real pain in the neck!!!

No nut and bolt, but trust me, there's enough surgical staples, she's in no danger of losing her head. ;)
And no they didn't shave her head. Her hair is intact.

That's even worse!
Tell her to be very careful as she could start losing pages!
There nothing worst than to find that there are pages missing!
I supose it rules out bungie jumping!!!!
It's some thing I've always wanted to do but my Quack agreed that I would be all right up to the bottom of the 'bounce when my body would return on the bungie but my head would carry on going! So he wouldn't sign the release form! I'm working on him for a parachute jump!!!! :D

Hope you're back home by now.....
I hope you don't mind me taking the Mickey too much, my only excuse is that I've had extensive neck surgery too, and like you on more than one occasion, so I feel that I'm qualified to joke about it!
Yes, everybody cracked the one about me being a ' pain in the neck', it wore abit thin after the 150 time!
Get lots of rest, make sure your neck is always supported well and try to keep out of drafts!
The only other advice I can offer (from my experience) is if you are doing a lot of reading, try not to let your chin drop towards your chest....
This was the cause of a lot of my 'after surgery' pain and it took a Physio to point it out to me! Once I started to lift the book up, resting it on a pillow on my knee, there was a noticeable lessening of pain!
Look after your self and take it slowly….No gadding about partying for at least 24 hours!

Hi Everyone one
(((((((( Gentle hugs ))))))) Thank you for the get well wishes. I have had need of them! Boy does this thing smarts. But I have drugs. Whooo Hooo! I am back in Las Vegas at my Aunts house. The 5 hour car ride was *&^*#@* BLeep, Bleep! %@*&%@*&$* again! ***My Aunt did a great job driving! *** I crashed in the the bed as soon as I hit the door yesterday.
The incision starts under my chin, and ends up at my right arm pit. I have nealy 60 staples, and no I wont be saving the staples so as to make a neckless, like Paul wants to make me. :P~~ *whew*
As some of you already know and have seen I had a mass on my neck. And we all thought even the doctors , that is was just a simple cyst. So after that the small mass was taken off my neck(out patient surgery feb 28th ) it was taken to a lab to be anolized.
**Forgive me this window does not have a spell checker**
After a while the pathology report came back and it turned out to be a rare malignant tumor. Dermatofibrosaarcoma Protuberans (DFSP) CD34 I was sent to UCLA medical center to see the Top Doctor in the country Dr. Abimayor. After tests and stuff and several 5 hour trips to calf and back to Las Vegas. I was scedualed for surgery. I wish I had more time to inform you all. But when UCLA surgical staff have a cancelation. I took the opertunity to remove the remants of the tumor ASAP.
Forgive me I need to go for a bit, and lay down. Thank you Again. And those whose wish to send a card PM me and I will give you my address. :)
Thank you again for all the "get well sishes" I love you all my friends!

I am so glad you were able to get the tumor removed. Now, just take it easy and heal up. :hugs:
(Are you sure you don't want to make a necklace out of those staples? It's make a handy conversation piece.)

Working on it Lady Devie
Well, I am out of jail and simi sliding in the gutter. Doh! The DR's have banned me from dipping in the gutter. I have to take showers at the moment! I was at my Aunts house with a well stocked fridge. lol But No Beer!~ But now I am back home tonight with noisy gutter birds. I will try and save the staples from my surgery and see how much they will fetch on the net? *falls off chair*
Ooooooooo *Lands softly with a little help*
Thank you dear kind people.

Due to steral or as every one knows, clean conditions. Yeah that is it~
We had to ....ummm............ un save the 2/3rds stapels today!~ So we will not be making a neckless out of the sergical staple. But if any one wants, I think there is enough to make earings,
:p How much for a par of simi-used sergical stapled earings with beads?
