Alzareea stood next to her Silver gold Queen Laylith, whom was tanding on the grounds, humming her heart out. Her weyrmate, Parath, and his rider L'ars came into the ground as the canidates poured in.

The canidates ranged from 16 to 21 turns, a sturdy number of 23 boys for the 15 eggs and the 1 queen egg that could choose from 5 females. It was two passes after AIVAS had destroyed Thread, and no one ever believed it would come back- until today.
