Here's couple from the poor tired brain
Title and artist please

1) "No flag or uniform ever stopped a bullet from a gun" Clue - legendary rocker

2) "I believe that beauty magazines promote low self-esteem " clue - singer from this band was in a spin

3)"I can hear something inside me say - I really don't think you're good enough" clue - she has more wigs than Madame Tussaud's

4)"Let's play Twister, let's play risk" - clue , they went automatic with their most successful album

And finally

5) "I'm a classy honey kissy huggy lovey dovey ghetto princess" - clue - cutting edge

These should be easy

This could be Dolly Pardon, after all she was even quoted as saying when asked how long it takes to do her hair "I don't know, I'm never there when it happens."

4 is REM, and the album is Automatic for the People, but I can't think of the song...

Tygress, you were right. It is Man on the Moon. Now all I'm wondering, who the hell is Andy Kaufman(n)?

He was on SNL and I believe the show Taxi. his comedy was very different, known also for his Elvis and some pro wrestling, I believe he wrestled women acctually lol. REM also did another song about him for the movie ... I like the song but can't remember the title since it's been ages since I heard it.

Over here Taxi was really the only thing he was known for, I was quite surprised when I found out they'd made a movie about him.

My problem is that when i first taught year 7 music all the girls were IN LOVE with Savage Garden (i think the second album had come out) and we did an assignment where they had to choose an Aussie band to write an assignment on, and give a speech on - that included playing one of the bands songs to the class... After my 12th or so repeat of anything Savage Garden, i never wanted to hear anything by them ever again! (Same goes for Delta Goodrem i might add, for the same reason) So havent really paid attention to the solo careers there at all ;)

And you learn something new every day! :D

Look for the title "The Tension and the Spark" for the latest of the very fine Darren Hayes
