So guys who's your favorite character in the Freedom series? Mine is Kris. She was just soooo cool. I loved her. She was strong-willed and just totally unstoppable when she got going. I wasn't surprised when she and Zainal ended up together. It's been so long since I last read the Freedom series. I want to get them next time I go to the book store. It's just tough to find them all at one store. Hee.

I loved Zainal too. He was soooo cool. Even though the humans hated him, he still helped them out.

Not sure if I can narrow it down to just one. Zainal & Kris are my favorites. :ok:

Well, they're the main characters. The books are from Kris's POV almost the whole time, just a couple of times that it's Zainal or Chuck Mitford.

Zainal is my favorite, then Kris. And since I finally read the short story that spawned the series, I want to re-read the whole series again.
Time to hit the library. :D

There was a shortstory that spawned that series? What was it called? What was it about? I didn't know that they had such a thing. I just went to the library, saw it sitting on the shelf, picked up the three books, went home, and read them.

The short story is called, "The Thorns of Barevi" and is part of a book of short stories called, "Get Off The Unicorn". It's pretty much the first chapter or so of Freedom's Landing, but with a very different outcome. ;) :D
There are a few other short stories that you'll find familiar too: Lady in the Tower (Rowan), A Meeting of Minds (Damia) and The Smallest Dragonboy. It's an older book, published in 1977, so you might have to look for it. Hope you find and enjoy it. :ok:

I know...I've been looking for it for YEARS! That's why I was so excited to find it a few weeks ago. :bouncy: I don't think my copy was even published in the US because the price on the back of the book is in british pounds and New Zealand something.

Forgot to comment on this in my last post. Yeah, a VERY different outcome. Now I know what all of the hullabaloo was about that story.
Different times, that's for sure. ;)

I bought mine on Ebay. It had some wear on it, but was still in good condition. :ok: I was just happy to get it.

Not read the books for a while but I did like the alien creature that accompanied them on some explorations... Whatsits name? :erm:
The one that got sick... Deski wasn't it? It had personality but was ultimately under developed as a character! Not suprising, it couldn't speak very good english

Hell I don't know... though they do have an art gallery in the forum, I've just never posted anything there because I've never done Anne fanart. =P

You can post any art you like - it doesn't have to be related to any of Anne's works. Same thing with stories and poems - they can be your own creation.

Zainal, Kris, Mitford and I really like the Doyle brothers. (My husband and I are taking turns reading the Freedom series to eachother and I love putting on the Irish accents.) :books:
