She's written "Through Wolf's Eyes", "Wolf' Head, Wolf's Heart", "Dragon of Despair", and "Wolf Captured". They're about a Firekeeper's trails to fit in with human civilization after being raised by Royal Wolves (really smart wolves). It's really cool how you get to watch how Firekeeper goes from a feral child to, well she's still a feral child but at least now she can speak human language. Hee hee. It's just too funny how she out does most humans and she doesn't even mean to.

I've never read any of her books, but they sound interesting.

I've read them all and I agree that they are very cool. I was surprised (and delighted) when the fourth one came out though cause I thought she was going to stop at 3.

For a slightly different taste of Jane Lindskold try reading 'Changer' and 'Legends Walking: A Novel of the Athanor'. Both are wonderful books that take a slightly different twist on mythology. They are actually the books that introduced me to Jane Lindskold and I've been hooked since.

I've only read Lord Demon, it's about a demon hunting down the murderer of his human servant & the conspiracy he discovers.

Lord Demon is Roger Zelazny's last novel, the second of two projects unfinished at the time of his death, which Jane Lindskold completed from some manuscript, notes & previous conversations she had with Zelazny.

Same here, though I do have "Through Wolf's Eyes" and mean to read it in my copious spare time (sic).

The problem with writing even a fantasy about humans being raised by animals is...the humans would never be able to cope. Once a certain age is reached, the ability to learn to speak is...well, gone. Which is too bad - there are many good fantasies out there about kids raised by <insert wild animal here>.

The only books I have seen by her are the ones that I listed in the beginning of the forum. I might have to look for others. She's a very good writer.

I've read Changer and Legends Walking and I loved them both, though the way the books are written in the present tense instead of the past tense took some getting used too.

Thanx for the link. It's awesome. I really have to finish the Firekeeper series. I have two more books to read. *Sigh* So many books, so little time. I have three Laurel K. Hamilton books, the Todd McCaffrey book, two Kim Harrison books, and then I have to try and finish my own book! Lol!
