What Talent Would You Have?

Another Talent I'd like to have would be Amaiyah's Healing Talent from "Pegasus In Space." I loved that little girl. She was cute. I loved her name. It was so beautiful.

I don't know, this is a toughie... I'd want to be a T-1 for sure, but telepathy of kinetic any day!

Telekenetics is cool too, but I'd like to be able to hear people think. It could get annoying when you're around a lot of people though.

Actually, I am just rereading Pegasus and I think it would be really neat to have Ruth Horvath's talent...genetic tinkering...I could fix cancer cells, eliminate all manner of diseases...I'd love it.

Only Ruth didn't seem to be able to do it consciously - she was wishing so hard for a blond baby girl that that's what she got. Amareeyah is more aware of what she does, healing plants and dissolving Dorotea's blood clot.

I would, perhaps, have the ability of Telepathy. The reason I say this is because I can usually tell what people are thinking or feeling by looking at their eyes. My friends think it's weird that I can tell they are upset even if they are putting on a happy face.

Can't chose between Telekinesis or Telepathy. I might feel like I'd be intruding if I heard others thoughts, on the other hand it would make a few relationships a bit easier when you know what the other person is or is NOT thinking...

Yeah having telepathic abilities would be like invading people's privacy but it would be soooo cool to have. You'd get to know what your x-mas presents were before x-mas rolled around. :devil: Hee hee!

Ooh, I'd definitely want the Finder's talent! I'm always losing things, and I hate it.:banghead: Hm, healing would be very nice, but it might be draining because people are always sick.

Telekinesis and teleportation are very cool too. Having mind conversations when you deliberately send your thoughts might be fun, but not hearing everything that other people think! That just freaks me out. The same goes for precognition and empathy. It would just cause too much trouble.

As much as telepathy might make some relationships easier, I think there's a lot of potential for learning things you REALLY didn't want to know about, not by "delving" into people's minds but just hearing the stuff they "broadcast". I would hate to "hear" the negative petty thoughts that even loved ones sometimes have, but worst of all, to hear the thoughts of a previously-unsuspected pedophile or murderer or something. I really don't want to hear that!!!!!

I think I'd vote for the healing talent, which is telekinesis on a microscopic scale, really. As much as you'd be in constant demand, the opportunity to help cancer patients, or brain-damaged patients, would really pull at me, as would maybe helping someone with infertility. I'm not sure I'd want the larger-scale telekinesis, other than for the purpose of getting ships to other planets, something that would otherwise take waaaaaay too long. And I think few people would choose clairvoyance or precognition.

Wow! You put a lot of thought into your post. Not many people do that. I get where you're coming from with the telepathic talent. It would be really bad to hear someone plotting out a murder or hear someone you love say something horrible about you or someone you care about.

I would actually want precognition, because then I would have had the power to change some horrible events of my life, and some people I love would maybe still be alive.

As I'm in a healing field already it would be easy to say a healing kinetic or empath. But the first thing that came to mind was a finder type talent. I guess it's because you might be able to find missing people, hopefully before anything bad happens to them. But even finding where their bodies are gives peace to the families of victims, I always think of the parents of the missing child taken by the Moors murderers who just want to find the body so they can go on with their lives.

I'm not so sure I could handle empathy. I could probably handle telepathy but not empathy. I'm not too good with emotions.

I would love to be telekinetic, as it would make my long-distance relationship a whole lot easier if i could be there in a second as opposed to six hours. But knowing my personality and how I am, I think empathy would be a more useful talent for me. I already truly have a touch of it, so increasing it to Talent levels would be amazing.

Mmmm, I already have enough empathy, would love to heal, used to nurse burns patients so to be able to repair such folk with out watching them go through so much pain year after year (breaks your heart) especially the children.
Clear Foresight would be nice avoid mistakes but there is something to having suprises now and then. (nice ones)

Hi, Lady Miacara! I'm looking for people who want to know more about empathy-healing talent and how to develop it into a really useful tool. It needs work, but can be done. Nothing supernatural or 'spooky', just plain scientifically based use of latent abilities. Healing and helping people is a prime objective. Don't you think so?

Telempath/telepath, for sure! it would be wonderful to be able to settle down people around you who are tense or wanting to argue or fight...like my kids!
