I just finished Redwall, and plan to read the others. It's a great book that kept me interested from the first page, which is rare for books. Anyone else read his books?

I've read the whole Redwall series. :D He is an excellent author, and I've had the fortune of meeting him at a booksigning, so I know he is a wonderful man as well!

Ooh!! Cool!!
His books are definitely all about the action and the cleverness, which I like in a story. It kept my nose glued to the pages.

I love them, but I find his latest books quite hard to get through. I'm struggling with Loamhedge. I think his books about Martin and Matthias are the best.
WOOH WHO! GO REDWALL! :D

They are a bit formulaic after awhile but great fun! (I enjoy them, I just can't read them one right after another.)

As you've started with 'Redwall' I think it would be best to go in written order. . . .or just ignore that if you don't want to.

I love all those books. I only got up to the Pearls of Lutra before I stopped reading, a nd I think he's wrote several since then. I gotta catch up. My favorite character so far has been Mattimeo and Martin (so far as I remember, that is).

I started reading Brian Jacques when I was in elementary school--almost 15 years ago! They were huge when I was in 5th grade, and he came to our school and talked to us for a while. I still remember vividly that my whole class was in the cafeteria and he'd gone in a little side-room. When he stuck his head out we all cheered, and he had his hand behind the door and kept pulling his head back through. It was hilarious, and I fell in love! :heartbeat:
Just kidding, he's an old bald man! But I still read every Redwall book that he writes, and I'll always be a huge fan of Brian Jacques. Anyone see the animated series? I saw it a few times and loved it, especially when BJ would talk about medieval life--so cute! The animation was very good, and the voices were just as I had imagined them. I never had the time to watch it regularly, though.
My favorites are Redwall, Mariel, Mattimeo, Salamandastron, and Martin the Warrior. I think the later ones tend to get repetetive, and the characters are less memorable, but they're still fun to read, especially the feasts! Gotta love the feasts. :good:
