Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I couldn't think where else to post it..........
Did anyone save Diving Peggeth? I forget the author
We miss that story!
Please, if anyone has it saved it or knows the author, could we have it again?

My wife wrote that and still has it on disc. We are checking to see if it can be reposted or emailed.

We do not know if because it was on the original KT it might not be possible to do that. We should know soon and then we post here to let you and anyone interested know.

For those reasons, Amy please hold off on sending copies. We don't care but it might be a problem for the old site and this site.

:O  OK, I finally got my act togeather and posted the first 14,418 words of Peggeth's Choice. I had really hoped that with the new format I wouldn't have to go back and add spaces between paragraphs as the indents don't carry over. Between that and having to redo all the italics for dragon speech it actually takes a long time to post something that is already written.

:shhh: What my 'wonderful':heartbeat :banghead: hubby 'Jeffrey555' is complaining about is that I only wrote a 93,224 word story. Actually he has a point. The end contains all the basic facts that I originally intended to put in the end, BUT as I was pushed for time I did not go into my usual detail and made the end much more abrupt than I would have if I had actually been writing it for publication. :erm: By the time it had reached about 85,000 words I had so many others things going on in my life I didn't give it the time it deserved...

I will try to keep posting an installment every week or so & consider my ending in the mean time.......

:box: This is actually my very first story other than high school assignments. It seemed to go over well on the old KT and encouraged me to keep writing. I am trying to write an original story now, but find it hard to take the time to write. I'm not good at 'proper' English or grammer, but want to improve so don't hesitate to correct me. Actually I had several good proof readers after me before, but I never got the chance to take/make some of their suggested corrections. Some I printed out and may find stashed away here somewhere, and some I may have lost with the death on the original KT.

Thanks for the interest!

:hugs: PEGGETH!:heartbeat

we've missed you guys so much!

I know what you mean about getting the typeset converted for the vB page, but there's an easy 4-step process I have to do with each chapter of TS&FL, and it takes no time at all (I use MSWord). If you need info, PM me.

& I'm looking forward to re-reading your story!!!!

I have just finished reprinting your entire Peggeth story as it currently stands, having reread it for grammer and spelling mistakes (only a few - most american/aussie spelling differences) and mourned again over the briefness of the last chapter. To find here that you are at least THINKING of reworking it fills me with anticipation and delight. Your style of writing is so complimentery to Anne's it's incredible! No wonder someone on the old KTL asked if you were Anne writing under another name.

:hopping: **sends over cheer squads to help you get in the mood** :hopping:

Regards, Albie

really enjoyed re reading what has been posted so far and I do hope the ending is re one too, it did seem rushed and there is so much more that could be said !!!Spoilers!!! (in white) Purrdit could have continued writing about how audrey fit into pern's social system and whether peggeth rose to mate, whether ruth rose to catch her, were there any eggs, the fall out of any flight....etc!!!Spoilers!!!

To bad you can't join us at our gather this weekend Ski.

Enjoy rereading the story. I still think she should write Peggeth Rising and The White Queen as sequels. And take me fishing more often.

Just started reading this and so haven't read anyone else's feedback - I don't want to know how it ends.

So far, I love it. I've been coming back to it all day long to read.

Has time and pressure robbed us of your writings again Purrrdit? I was so hoping for a reworked end.

Hope all is well with you and yours.
