I need a webhost, help!

Well, the lovely(not) people who hosted my website, decided, that, since some accounts were phishing, and getting complaints from other members of this free hosting site, they would delete ALL free accounts... and of course keep the paid sites...

Now, I understand that, you get what you pay(or don't pay) for... I really do. And I understand all about protecting paid sites. But when the Host site doesn't even BOTHER to tell you that they're deleting your account, and you have to find out about it when your site redirects you to a page that says it was deleted, and ALL your files and whatnot is GONE... then that's when the fur flies. I am TICKED OFF!

Luckily I do have most of the stuff saved on my comp.. but still... I am soooooooo mad :mad: I guess it's the principle of the thing..

So, I need a host, a good free host for now, that I can put my club page on.

Does anyone know of some place(preferrably NOT geocities, or angelfire, or *shudders* lycos) that I can stick my pages on til I find something better?

This really, really stinks.. :sad:

That happened to me as well PKAerynSun, and I took C_ris' suggestion with Bravehost. it seems to be doing alright though I am having problems updating my site but that's because of the page builder I am using.

I looked at Bravehost, but another webhost was suggested to me by my newest BoD member... and it kicks heinie ... 1gig storage space, 5 gig bandwidth.. all kinds of files supported, ftp,etc.. sooo.. I signed up there :blush2: :D

(meant to get on earlier to let ya'll know that we now have a webhost again, but had some things I had to take care of.. ack..)
