But here are some sketches of my characters I did this. I'm not a great artist, but I'm fairly pleased with them. (Yes, the dragons are based on horses.)

I really like the pic of the weyrwoman and her queen, and I like the others, too, but I would probably see the first two sketches better if you went over the lines with pencil, just to make the lines darker and people can see the details better, too.

I think I like the Kasi Anareth one best, but I'm not sure if it's because the lines are clearer or not, the fire lizard came out really well though! :D

The lines are all pencil, and in the originals they're clear and dark. I'm fussing with a new scanner and getting really good high-res images, very sharp images without them being HUGE seems to be beyond its capacity. (Alettath had to resize the one of Eliara for me.) The old picture was scanned with my clunky old flatbed...and I'm wishing now I had desk space for it here!

I think that's the one I showed Anne once, that or this one http://www.geocities.com/tiepilot.geo/cadranth.jpg and she liked the dragon--which isn't surprising as she's always said they're somewhat horse-like and I based Anareth and Kasi off a picture of me and my horse! (Though Anareth is much, much bigger! He was a thoroughbred, not a Clydesdale.)

Lol, thanks, but ask someone like Cat for artistic talent. I barely have enough to scrape by on myself! I can get a general idea across in a picture, but my real skills are strictly verbal.

I haven't ever seen any fanfic by YOU on here, so what kind of writing talent do you have? The awesome kind. I had some stuff on the OKT, but don't have anything I care to post at present. When I do, I will. I DO have a poem in the Poetry forum, but no one's bothered to comment on it -- thus, I haven't posted anything to follow it.
