There has been some debate this year, as usual, concerning the final days of Christmas and whether they entail drummers, lords, ladies or pipers?

So, to settle things once and for all, or to just continue the arguement for evermore in here... Here's the poll for you to make your view known...

:note: On the Thirteenth Day of Christmas, Jayson gave to us... :note:

Poll set for four weeks... Well into the New Year when such subjects become boring!

I thought I knew, but after reading all of the selections, I was very confused

I keep remembering "Eleven benevolent elephants. . ."

I keep remembering "Eleven benevolent elephants. . ." Lol, I don't remember that one!

I went for the first choice, but that's mostly a guess.

Mausey is just stating her opinion... Unlike those who've opted for PMD and not said what they really think :irked:

I have an embroidered sampler that says 11 Ladies dancing, 12 Lords-a-Leaping.Which is how I sing it too :D

I've never had trouble recalling the last two...probably because when we did the Thwelve Days After Christmas in high school, I got the spoken line of "Well, actually, I kept one of the drummers!".

I've never read the lyrics to this song, but I've heard it sung a lot of times.
I voted on: Twelve Monkeys Washing, Eleven Alternative Answers... 'cause I sometimes (at Xmas time :xmas1: ) make up my own lyrics to this song - I guess I could have been seen singing "12 monkeys washing..." if I was cleaning the appartment one fine Xmas day :D .

Thank you for the interesting link Mausey! It seems to err on the side of the drummers but I still prefer the sound of Lords

And we're definately not at all divided on our opinions of this... 7/6

You know, the answer to this is so clear that the PMD's have the most responses

I shall stick with my version for next year... Or make one up
