As I'm sure you've been told by now, due to circumstances beyond our control we we unable to import the entire old site. So I've grabbed a couple of the most refered to threads and copied them over here. Because the topics are ones that we'll never have answered :D the debates can start all over again. Have fun.

Welcome indeed :D Hans and I will continue to be your Hosts here in the new Dragonriders of Pern Forum, and I for one am very much looking forward to the chance to chew over some of the old favourite topics again :D
Incidentally, anyone who seeks to prove themselves right by saying *it's that way Because Anne Said So* will be instantly fined 10 posts - unless, of course it's Hans or I who say it ;)
Joking aside, this is a great opportunity to re-thrash some of the "golden oldies", and hopefully to discuss some new ideas too :good:
Mausey has started us off, so now it's over to you :bouncy:

And a very warm welcome from me too. I hope we'll have a Pern Forum just as interesting as we use to have and like Anneli said, it's a good chance to rework and rediscuss some subjects :)
Above all have fun, behave decent and think twice about what you post if it happens to be criticism (which doesn't it isn't welcome!).

Can that include responses that are phrased as "I asked Anne and she said....", too?
*plans to watch her phrasing very carefully!*

One thing about not having all of the old posts carried over is that I don't have to step over all those old posts<g>
I do have a question. I thought that Dragon's Kin would be out in paperback earlier, but Borders indicates 12/31/04 but in the store on 12/28. Although they have 56 copies coming in, I reserved my copy anyway.
Now When does Dragon's Blood official come out? Also wondering if there is a way to get the UK version (at a reasonable price) since the covers in the UK are much nicer than the US versions.

Start a new thread on Dragonsblood, Zankoku! This is your chance :)
And Anareth... I'm happy to read about all Anne said in the hundreds of interviews she gave, except for one of them. You know which one ;)
