I met Trudi at a party a few weeks ago, and decided from the way everyone else who was at the party went on about them, that I really should read her books.

So, I have just completed the Magicians Guild Trilogy. I must say I really, truly enjoyed it, and I too will join in the reccomendations. From the moment I picked them up I had difficulty putting them back down (and burnt more than a few meals as a result...bad for the food, but a good sign about the quality of the read).

Hopefully, we'll see more of this Aussie fantasy author.

that is such a coincidence!

you met her, just like i didnt ! :erm: ;)
whats she like .... not fair i wanna be invited to a top top party :( , oh well....

seriously - i've just finished the 1st 2 books, and am about to cap it off with the third book... i saw them in the shop at the train station and thought they looked quite interesting enough to pass away the numerous train journeys i have been making this last week :faint:

so far they have been nothing but exceptional books i would reccomend to anybody... in fact i already have reccomended them to a coupla friends ;)

Trudi's quite a nice person :) She lives on the other side of town from me - it was a party for another Aussie based Bulletin Board, Voyager Online (http://www.voyageronline.com.au/) of which she is one of many author members :)
(Jennifer Fallon, Russell Kennedy and Glenda Larke are also members to name a few)

You surely have too!!!!

Tim is devouring my copies here at home ! , thankfully not literaly as that would be a very strange diet indeed :D ;)

Does anyone know if Trudy is working on anything else (either a follow on to the magician guild, or a new complete story?)

I've been enjoying Trudi's latest series - Age of the Five

The first book Priestess of the White, has been out here in the UK for some time now, and i enjoyed it a lot.

I recently discovered the second book in the series whilst perusing an import section in Forbidden Planet ... and promptly purchased it ...

... so far so good, has anyone else been reading this series?

Yes. Read the first three books and The Priestess of the White. The second book in the series is in my TBR pile to read and I do enjoy her books very much.:books: :ok:

The 2 books in the Age of the Five series are quite good, although I know many who loved BMT but don't like the AotF.
The characters are VERY well written IMO.

I found tarted reading the tBM books the friday before I left for France and I was trille. The first time since the HBP that I haven't been able to put a book (or three) down. Of course it meant that I was ill prepared for France and that I didn't enter the art contest in the end.

BTW, there's a great BMT & Trudi board here. I've been a memeber for over a month now and it's a great community. Come take a look around:

Well i finally got hold of the 3rd Age of 5 book "Voice of the Gods"

The book was brilliant, tied up lots of loose ends (some of which i could foresee from the end of book 1 or the begining of book 2 ;) ) But still a brilliant book.

It ended in a way that might make it possible for a followup series ... but then again maybe not ;)
