This could be interpreted 2 ways. Lunzie was Sassinak's sister, who died in the initial Pirate attacks on her colony, but Lunzie Mespil was Sassinak's great-great-great granddaughter.

Kai was attacked by a "fringe" - a native organism of Ireta that folds itself around its prey, attaches with suction, and proceeds to digest. Kai had an allergic reaction to it as well.

Another question: what humorous event occurred as a result of the lab technician (I think his name's Trizein) never leaving his lab and going outside?

I had a thought, but then I wondered if I was mixing novels up...seem to remeber something about a feaather to get in the tight places. But first I thought the sled was titled to let the mold fall out. Which is why I wasn't going to say anything...

You're right on both counts - she tilted the sled into the wind so it would blow out as much of the mold as possible, then used a feather she had found to clean out the nooks and crannies.

Yes. Actually almost all hadrosaurs were duck-billed I think, but some did have crests as well. Parasaurolophus, Corythosaurus, Lambeosaurus....
