Welcome to the realm of the Dyre.
The Dyre began as simply nothing more than my own fantasy to create a living, breathing world for the creatures I draw. More specifically, my werewolves.
I have been drawing werewolves for years, and over time I have developed them further into what became my ideal werewolf. The idea to create my own unique race of werewolves is inspired by many things, my passiosn, my loves, my friends, and myself. The idea of RPG's and creating stories and worlds of fictional fantasy creatures has been an interest of mine, and in the past I have played and enjoyed numerous games. Other artists and friends have also helped spark interest in taking my artwork to the next level. My passions are clearly wolves, werewolves, horror, fantasy, and dark stories and artwork of love, hate, life and death. And this is excactly what The Dyre are all about.
Though I am still learning, I feel comfortable, at this point, to finally emerge from the darkness and introduce to you my werewolves, my world.
In other words, I feel that I am ready to take my fascination with werewolves, nature, fantasy, gore, and horror artwork to the next step and create something fun and interesting out of it. As well as considering this one of my first steps into taking my werewolves more seriously.
From what you have guessed by now, the Dyre are my werewolves. My precious race of Loup-Garou that I have spent so many years in the molding. The Dyre are a unique race among the many other worlds of werewolves you may find throughout the internet, books, rpg's, etc. They have their own way of living, culture, physical and mental attributes. Everything. Such characteristics are all a part of what I percieve as ideal werewolf traits.
As of now, the Dyre are simply a race of werewolves which inspires my art. The werewolves I draw are no doubt that of the Dyre. In the future, however, I hope to develop my world of the Dyre into a series of animated films, or something similar. Guide books to special tribes, and the general way of life for the Dyre are likely as well.
Here you will find sections dedicated to specific areas of Dyre culture and characteristics. You will be notified of any new ideas or details that I may want to add in the News section of my homepage.
If you are familiar with my artwork, then you have already been formally introduced to my were-beasts. But you still have yet to learn the secrets behind their fangs, the world beneath the moon, and the story behind every drop of blood that is spilled.
