So, for the apst two years, I've paid almost the full price for my badges. I've heard whispers of Eternal Memberships, but no one can really tell me what they are and how to obtain one. Can anyone shed some light on this? :erm:

...from the D*C website...

Eternal Members
*Please contact our office to verify that we have your current address.

...that's the only thing I found specifically mentioning the eternal memberships. My guess is that you would need to contact them directly.

...here's there contact info...

Telephone: 770-909-0115

Sorry, but that's the best I can do. If it turns out to be an easy process, could you let me in on it? I'm interested myself. :)

If I remember a conversation back a couple of years, those were only offered for a short time. Maybe in '03 or before. I remember "don't get your hopes up" or something like that. Sorry.

Thanks for the info, Cin. I lose my head on that website. As for my hopes.. Well, it can't hurt to try. :D

You could always call their offices and ask. Although I believe Debbie is right. They don't offer Eternal passes anymore. I know an Eternal member.

You could always do what I did. Took a bunch of pictures of women there, make a website out of it, get it really popular, then ask them for a Media Pass. :D That's how Koolness and I get in from now on. All because of a love for photographing women. LOL!

Now THERE's an idea! :D

Unfortunately, I can't afford a site, and I'm all thumbs with HTML :erm: Oh well. Guess I'll continue paying what I've been paying.

If you buy one now, it's $45 I think. Didn't the guy that took our picture for us basically shutting down the Avazare Bar to anyone else's use say much the same thing about being an eternal member? I remember some sort of conversation, but it was waaaaaaaaaaaay late and they were throwing us out of the bar. Finally.

Crap, now I'm getting gather blues just thinking about it.

Yup, super meaga cheap right now. :) I figure if they stop giving me the Media Pass, then that will be the first year I don't go. heh heh! Unless my friend Leslie dumps her boyfriend on his butt again and goes alone. In which case I get her "Guest of" pass. :D

I checked into getting a lifetime membership last year...it was still available...at the con only...for a one time fee of about $900 US, if I remember correctly. That's about 20 years of con-going at the year-ahead-con price of $45 (but only 10 years at the at-the-door price of $85). Didn't seem worth it to me.

It was alot cheaper, way back when. I believe it also offers more than just the standard ticket.
