I had a funny thought about globe frogs - I was trying to picture them, and I was picturing a froglike being only bipedal, not crouched down... and I realized I was picturing something very similar to Kermit the Frog (http://www.chron.com/content/interactive/special/smithsonian/photos/skermit.jpg)!

 Hehe, I wonder if their globes are big enough for them to stand up? :D

This is how I imagine globegrogs... nothing real origianl, just a frog in a globe... I should have drawn it with its mouth open to show the blue tongue and sharp teeth. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/22198845/

But I wonder how they eat anything being enclosed in that globe... or for that matter, how do they excrete?!

Well, they can open the globes to do that; they just stay in them most of the time because they need to stay moist. They can open it to pick up food or to get out and pee, but the air is too dry - esp. with all the crazy wizards playing with the weather system - to stay out. Originally they used the objects of power to hold a globe of water around them, but when their technology was stolen they had to improvise.

I never thought of them looking like Kermit but now that you mention it ...
And globe frogs don't spend all there time in the globes. They usually don't stay in them on their home planet (Credi or something like that) or in a very moist environment where they wouldn't have to worry about drying up.

They probably didn't need to worry about it much before the wizards totally fried the weather control system. The planet was drying up because of what they were doing.
