Heres one I did for an assignment a year or so ago.

As I step out on the beach
Gulls sing in the air
Sand warms my toes
And the breeze flows through my hair.

When the tide rolls in and out
And boats skim the waves
Crabs crawl in the sand
And make stones turn into caves.

When the sun is high above
And it warms all things
If you listen carefully
You hear dolphins sing.

When I spot lots of shells
And a whale in the deep
A dolphin wanders near
And splashes with a leap.

When I step into the frothy foam
And pebbles slip between my fingers
When I swim in the blue waters
My memory of the ocean lingers.

Heres a sappy one that actually got started from a dream I had.

Those Special Eyes of Yours

There is something in those eyes of yours,
Something special that captivates me.
You catch my glance,
It turns into a gaze,
I can't help but stare.
Your eyes are a deep shade of azure,
Like the pinnacle of the blue sky.
Your eyes glisten beyond morning dew,
They sparkle more brilliantly than the stars.
There is something in there that fuels that shine,
Something that gives them that magic touch.
As I hold you in my arms,
And look into your eyes,
I know that there's something else in there,
That makes me want you.
I'm wracking my mind
To know that special ingredient in your eyes.
But when you take me,
And your lips touch mine,
I get one more look in those special eyes of yours.
Now I know what gives your eyes that additional flame -
It's love.
I want you to know that this special touch
Is also in my eyes toward you.

BDR, do you want Comments and Criticism? Or just comments?

Criticism is welcome as well. I appreciate tips and hints to help improve. I don't think its fair to only accept comments.
