I've started writing songs and odes to the WLT, so here goes: (and Pern in general)

Willet, oh Willet, you run on so long
Thanks to others' efforts, now you are strong
When we start a page, some post facts
Some post nothing at all - they are too lax
We talk about nothing at all
Other times we squabble and we squall
There is much talk of chocolate and food
And there're always newbies being stewed
People lament of all their daily w**k
And others make sure their duties will be shirked
Smurfs are being roasted
And outsanity is posted
In the Willet, all do as they please
And others are always there to tease
Oh, Willet, what would I do without you?
You keep me sane through and through!

In the Willet, expression is welcome
There's frequent ketchup - and then some
Needs are expressed
And feelings are professed
Exciting news is shared
And newbie cushions are on chairs
The Willet is like nowhere else
There's always someone nearby for help!

The Lament of Ruatha

Once upon a time
There was a young lord in his prime
He had a lady and children so fair
And had marks and crops to spare
But he was robbed by a man
Who was always seeking more land
At the expense of others
He'd rule Pern if given his druthers

Lord Kale of Ruatha was warned again
Robinton tried to persuade him to end
His foolishness; his naivety
For he was too blind to see

The greed of Fax, eternal and vengeful
The greed of Fax, neverending
Everlasting, neverceasing
Fax!
