A guy popped up on our anime society forum representing this (http://www.collectormaniagmex.co.uk/), and blatantly trying to get some word-of-mouth going.
However, it looks interesting enough that I'm willing to oblige.

Knew there was something going on in Manchester but didn't know when. Will have to check my diary ;) and see if I can get there.

Anybody going to Eastercon?

They're also now asking us which voice-actors we would like to see there! :santagrin The list they showed us of people who have been offered to them so far were all for the English dubs (which can't be helped, I suppose) for shows like Dragonball Z, Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh (which needs remedying forthwith).
Excitement mounts...

If anyone else from KT is definitely coming and wants to get together for a bit of a meet, let me know. For an evening's entertainment, Fab Cafe will serve nicely, and you can :eekSanta the full-size Dalek they have in the bar.

If I go it will probably be on the Sunday as some friends are going and I may be able to travel with them.

It now looks pretty certain that I'll be going, either on the saturday with some friends from Manchester, or on the sunday with some friends from up here in Carlisle.

Or possibly both.

:D :D

Found this: (Metrolink route map)

That's the easy way out of looking at maps. ^_^ The G-Mex is 4 stations down from Piccadilly station, on either line.

Our tickets have arrived. We're going on the Sunday, and I expect we'll arrive around 12:30. The current plan is to stay until it closes and then possibly go for food/drinks.

Well, Guides decided to have a sleepover on Friday night, running over into Saturday morning, and the group of friends who were going to go down on the Sunday haven't got anything organised, so that's off too.

Squawk.

I guess that means I'm not going to make it.

Yippee - I'm going on Sunday. Will be there quite early (getting picked up at 8-30 am  )

H - I should still have your mobile number (you had mine for when we met in Leeds), but if its changed PM me :D so we can do an Anneka Rice and gather for a while.

That's odd. We were there from 11:30 until 4, and we didn't see you. I suppose it was quite crowded and I wasn't really looking for you, but it's still a bit surprising.
Still, we had a great time. I got autographs from Brent Spiner (Data from Star Trek: TNG) and Andy Serkis (Smeagol in LotR), and picked up lots of cool photos as well. Btw, Avery Brooks is SUCH a dude! SUCH A DUDE!!!!:worship:

Well - I've calmed down now.

If I had only known I would have at least sorted my hair/makeup out ;)

At 11-30 I was in the Star Wars prequel talk. At 12-30 the Battlestar Galactica talk - rest of time hanging around trying to see the people "giving" autographs - I refuse to pay £15-00 for one, and there was noone I really "had" to meet, although it was strange to see Darth Vader saying hi to Dave Prowse  You were probably queuing to get the autographs when I was straining to see the artistes ;)
