Very nice Amy! :applause: Now I see what you mean about the headknobs, they look simliar to the firelizard's headknobs in the DLG. I especially love how you made the reflection from the gold egg on the Queen's skin, it makes it look like its glowing. I look forward to seeing some more artwork from you :ok:

My goodness the pic is so good! I can't draw dragon's at all. When I draw a dragon rider people always ask why they are wearing funny straps and jackets or "whats with the tunic?"

the random doodle idea came from the cover of the garth nix Sabriel book. i was waiting for my dad to pick me up in carmarthen and was bored so started to doodle.

fire lizard 1 was an early attempt hence the lizard look and pionty head knobs.
i was aiming for the wings in the unfinished pic to appear to be sightly transparent. i think i pulled it off rather well.

Self-portrait (http://www.imsmultimedia.co.uk/Images/AmyB/SelfPortrait.jpg)
Amy apologises for the banding on this pic, but her scanner's playing up, & while it would probably be possible to fix it in Photoshop, I'd rather not risk making a mess of it!

Wow! :good:
This (http://www.users.bigpond.com/faizah8/merli.jpg) (a greenrider with 2 blue firelizards) is the most artistic thing I've ever done... I did it entirely in Paint. I wish I had the painting of a dragon my father did for me... And a scanner. He's the artist in the family. That's actually what he does for a living. Unfortunately, I didn't inherit half his talent. (I got my mother's fiction-writing, instead)

Those are great!!!! :ok: :ok: :ok: :ok:
The dragons look exactly as they should look that most professional cover artists couldn't get right. Ever consider maybe adding color to some of those and maybe even make your "own" covor art for the books? It would sure beat some of the stuff the cover artists do. *cough*Weston*cough*

Wow I had no idea people thought my work was THAT good, I will have to think on it, it took a looooong time to do the queen one so well and i have loads of things to do at the mo, I will keep it in mind for the future tho, with all of the praise I am getting for my work, it is a real confidence booster.

One suggestion: you should try doing your drawings on blank paper instead of lined paper. Much neater.

One suggestion: you should try doing your drawings on blank paper instead of lined paper. Much neater.yes but the problem is I usually do these sketches in lectures where all I have got IS lined paper:roll: (proper drawings like the queen one are a different matter. I could probably do them in a larger format tho. I use pencils a LOT so usually my work is A4)

Are you allowed to take your stuff with you to the lectures? Cause what I do is keep a sketchpad/stack of paper in my bag.
Nice work. I especially love the rose.

I dug these pictures out over the christmas holidays and it has taken this long to send them to Ian  I think that they were done when I was still in secondry school...I must have been dead bored to do this. I remember taking the dog for a wander and picking up the leaves and stuff and spending the rest of the afternoon working on them...jus shows that I can do a decent picture when I actually pay attention to my work...even in colour :D

This one is from the Temeraire Series by Naomi Novic. It could be any of the Celestials but I decided it would be Lien (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v714/Jaxiemafoozle/Calendar%20pics/Bamy-lien.jpg) - the albino dragon.

Thella first shows up in Anne's short story The Girl Who Heard Dragons, in the book of the same name. ;>

Either way, the spiral staircase (I assume this is the one you refer to) does resemble the back stairs of a hold. I had however drawn this picture before I ever got near one of Anne's books.
