I took my Chemistry Final yesterday and was helped by our lovely Lady Anne! :) I was thinking of how to explain double displacement and the only compound I could think of was HNO3. Ageenothree (SP?)!

So, I made a hundred on that exam! :)

Awesome! :worship:

Anne would be very proud! Now if they ask you about different types of stars, you can mention Rukbat, a golden G-type star in the Sagittarian sector.

But Rukbat ISN'T a golden G-type star, but a B8V type. (http://www.trf-egal.de/igd/pern/)

Anne helped me in lectures a week ago too...Nigel (the lecturer) was talking about orientation and forces of attraction etc...in a geophysics practical. he asked what were things oriented to in space. well the pegasus series dealt with that. the answer is relative to the largest body. even if that is you (we have a running joke about when in space no one can hear you scream but can recieve a text message scream... it was funny at the time..)

I went to her official site and did the contact info. Then I went under books and then Dragonriders of Pern and sent her the story! :)

 She'll get a kick out of it! :good:

:erm: You know, that's an expression I never did understand? How can getting a kick be good?

Heh...I did my end-of-the-quarter essay on TWoP. Teacher liked it, and I think I got her interested in teh series, too.

That's cool. I've talked with my 8th grade Honors English teacher about the series. I still do.

It means she'll get a jolt of surprise - a good one. Don't make me think about why "kick" is used to express this. It'll make my head hurt too much.
