A Thank You

Earth and Air, Fire and Water,
Added together, a Spirit to matter.
Universe makers, Life takers,
These things mean much to me.
Time is told, in their fold,
With much to gain from thee.
Pentacle, sweet symbol, bright,
Brings five elements to the light.
See it shine here, accepted, beloved.
And because of this, I too feel loved.
Many thanks I offer,
Though, it will not fill your coffer.
And of thee, Blessed be.

Moon

Bright shines the moon,
Goddess of the night.
Soft and gentle,
She rules our sleep.
Dreams she protects,
And rest she gives.
Her blessing is earned,
Her honor is endless.
For all of these reasons,
I bow to the moon.

Tears

One lone Moon Flower stands on a windowsill.
Slowly it wilts, slowly it suffers, slowly it dies.
Memories of fresh, moonlit nights comfort it,
As memories of hurt and distruction haunt it.
Where once a Garden full of Moon Flowers stood,
Now not one can grow among the wild flowers.
Where once a young woman toiled with love,
Only her hurt and dispair remains.
And what became of this Moon Flower Keeper?
Behind the wilting Moon Flower, the last of them,
She stands, too broken and beaten to save it.
Slowly she watches it wilt, and she too wilts.
Slowly she feels it suffer, and she too suffers.
Slowly she witnesses it dying, and she too dies.

In the Moon Flower Gardens

Under the Blessed Mother's light,
The Moon Flowers shine so bright.
The Moon Stone path rambles on,
As one young woman strolls alone.
Pentacle fountain with its wonderful hieght,
A great building comes into her sight.
Soft and cool this great gemstone shines,
A tribute to the Moon's sweet times.

Moonflowers. That reminds me of the beautiful plant I had one time that only bloomed once, and only at night. Night blooming Cireus or something like that. I had it out in the yard. The plant itself was huge, and when it bloomed the flowers were big, white and wonderfully fragrant. I should look into getting another one of those, it was amazing! I like your poems, by the way. Water is my favorite element. Do you have any mostly about water? Rivers, oceans, ponds? :ok:

The Stream

Liquid diamonds flowing by,
Tinkling musically to the sky.
Cool, clear spray oh so fair,
Crisp, clean scent on the air.

Pirate’s Girl

In the rigging dangling down,
By her knees, hair all aroun’
Worried she’ll fall, captain yells,
His rank as father, he truly tells.
Rain pours down, stingingly,
As she yells a refusal wittingly.
Winds blow fast and hard,
Storm comes in, thunder loud.
Lightning flashes giving light,
To further a father’s fright.
Up he calls, pleading with her,
And downward her shouts were.
Finally, he won, down she came,
Dropping, a rock through the rain.
Caught by a friend, she laughed in fun,
Until his gaze, she saw and was done.
True fear for her, she read there,
Speaking of love, she never had anywhere.

Elven Song (verse 2)

Many years have come and gone,
But we have always been here.
Many are the winds of Time, that pass us by.

Wars and famine,
Peace and plenty,
We have seen it all.
Some have died, but more survived,
To tell the tales for all.

Eternally we gather Lore,
Of everything we see.
And since we live forever,
Forever our Lore shall be.

So much has happened,
Throughout eternity.
Because of us can be found
A record in Time's memory.

Onto those whose time is past,
Is given great comfort at last.
Home doth they reach,
Until time again doth beseech.
And as to those who still roam,
Guarded are we, by those at home.
Living without notice of gentle care,
Given to us by those "not there."

Question, we will the Powers Above,
Hoping to bring back those we love.
Forever they are gone from our world,
Yet they still live, their wings now unfurled.
But our questions time will behold,
With silence worth more than gold.
For through it all we have one gift,
Memories, blessed and swift.

The new begining comes again

All hope lies in Circle of the Ten

Time sees not the mortal days

For Three will come and mend these ways

Death brings healing of the souls

And will take the greatest tolls

Odd is that which is not told

While Mystery time will unfold

Gods do not the people make

Though they teach to give and take

Many will the Three claim

But One is theirs all the same.

In the eyes of she not seen

All things have Come and Been

The key will come to everything

Embodied now in the Thirteen

Twelve will gather lead by Three

One will hide beyond the Tree

In her lies what we seek

Her strength unknown behind the weak

Moonlight shining ever bright

Show us that which prowls the night.

Through the Mist lies the Lake

Mystery kept for Neutral's sake.

Upon crystal waters sails her boat

With grim magic it does float.
