Sounds like my real family tree. My dad (who isn't my biological father) is also my 4th, 5th, or 6th cousin (he and Mum are 3rd, 4th or 5th cousins) which makes my half sister my 5th, 6th or 7th cousin.

Hehehe. It's simple. If you trace back to their somewhere-between1-to-4-Great Grand Mother, she is the same person. So that makes my Dad a distant cousin, and so is my half-sister.
